FaBIO Breaks Down Batting Profiles of NCAA Division Oners taken in the Community Mock Draft

The offensive version of FaBIO remains a work in progress. Its flaw as it stands now which eventually will be addressed is that its batted ball profile component is power-and-speed-neutralized. It assumes that each player has the same speed and power. In reality, the runs value of each player's GBs should be increased or decreased based on their speed. Likewise the runs value of each player's PullOFFB, CenterOFFB, and OppoOFFB should be increased or decreased based on their power. So the batted ball profile of the fast and powerful batter will be most underrated by this iteration of the system, and the slow and unpowerful batter will have their batted ball profile most overrated. Below I will also include the batter's batting average on batted balls (bAVG) and their isolated power on batted balls (bISO), and the latter of those two will give you a sense as to how much power they may possess (it is not park-adjusted yet).

The numbers represent the expected percentage of conference batting qualifiers that the batter stood to beat on the stat. OHP is the Overall Rating vs opposite-handed pitchers; SHP is Overall Rating vs same-handed pitchers. The number before the name indicates the overall pick where our participants chose them.

2. Alec Bohm, Wichita State, Jr, RHB

2018 (266 PA): 74 Overall (60 OHP/77 SHP), 69 Eye, 91 Contact, 13 Batted Ball (32 GB Avoid, 37 PullGB Avoid, 85 IFFB Avoid, 11 LD, 77 OFFB, 11 PullOFFB, 70 bAVG, 94 bISO)

2017 (264 PA): 74 Overall (68 OHP/75 SHP), 44 Eye, 89 Contact, 31 Batted Ball (80 GB Avoid, 75 PullGB Avoid, 35 IFFB Avoid, 66 LD, 71 OFFB, 18 PullOFFB, 60 bAVG, 70 bISO)

Extreme contact hitter. Power to all fields, sketchy batted ball profile otherwise. Slightly reverse splits as an NCAAer.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

3. Joey Bart, Georgia Tech, Jr, RHB

2018 (272 PA): 63 Overall (68 OHP/62 SHP), 78 Eye, 41 Contact, 61 Batted Ball (30 GB Avoid, 41 PullGB Avoid, 75 IFFB Avoid, 74 LD, 26 OFFB, 32 PullOFFB, 100 bAVG, 93 bISO)

2017 (208 PA): 10 Overall (4 OHP/24 SHP), 22 Eye, 14 Contact, 31 Batted Ball (61 GB Avoid, 39 PullGB Avoid, 26 IFFB Avoid, 34 LD, 60 OFFB, 44 PullOFFB, 87 bAVG, 96 bISO)

Far better plate discipline in '18, but could still K a lot prospectively. Hits most everything hard with lots of multi-directional power on the OFFB, likely more slug than hit looking forward.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

4. Nick Madrigal, Oregon State, Jr, RHB

2018 (134 PA): 83 Overall (80 OHP/81 SHP), 39 Eye, 99 Contact, 17 Batted Ball (9 GB Avoid, 24 PullGB Avoid, 77 IFFB Avoid, 65 LD, 6 OFFB, 6 PullOFFB, 77 bAVG, 49 bISO)

2017 (238 PA): 97 Overall (95 OHP/93 SHP), 38 Eye, 97 Contact, 79 Batted Ball (45 GB Avoid, 53 PullGB Avoid, 71 IFFB Avoid, 93 LD, 25 OFFB, 36 PullOFFB, 87 bAVG, 61 bISO)

Super extreme contact guy. Batted ball profile was not nearly as nice in '18 as in '17 (injury offshoot or lingering concern?). Such low GB/PullGB avoidance will require his speed to convert them into infield hits at a high rate, and the porfessional grass infields may not allow so many of his sharply struck grounders to scoot cleanly through to the outfield as did the Corvallis FieldTurf one.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

6. Jonathan India, Florida, Jr, RHB

2018 (249 PA): 92 Overall (87 OHP/88 SHP), 99 Eye, 46 Contact, 77 Batted Ball (93 GB Avoid, 61 PullGB Avoid, 44 IFFB Avoid, 49 LD, 95 OFFB, 75 PullOFFB, 99 bAVG, 100 bISO)

2017 (193 PA): 38 Overall (47 OHP/37 SHP), 53 Eye, 68 Contact, 9 Batted Ball (23 GB Avoid, 2 PullGB Avoid, 33 IFFB Avoid, 9 LD, 37 OFFB, 32 PullOFFB, 35 bAVG, 64 bISO)

Almost an entirely different batter in '18 who basically stopped hitting the ball on the ground with extreme rewards in offensive production. Power skews somewhat pull-biased.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

14. Kyler Murray, Oklahoma, So RS, RHB

2018 (227 PA): 29 Overall (16 OHP/29 SHP), 53 Eye, 15 Contact, 65 Batted Ball (81 GB Avoid, 53 PullGB Avoid, 60 IFFB Avoid, 26 LD, 93 OFFB, 76 PullOFFB, 80 bAVG, 93 bISO)

2017 (64 PA): 1 Overall (0 OHP/35 SHP), 99 Eye, 0 Contact, 1 Batted Ball (45 GB Avoid, 64 PullGB Avoid, 10 IFFB Avoid, 3 LD, 66 OFFB, 14 PullOFFB, 0 bAVG, 2 bISO)

A definite loud pull OFFB sort who will struggle mightily to make contact in the pros as things stand now. Should stay at Oklahoma for another year to further develop plate discipline.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

15. Travis Swaggerty, South Alabama, Jr, LHB

2018 (277 PA): 96 Overall (92 OHP/91 SHP), 99 Eye, 83 Contact, 72 Batted Ball (75 GB Avoid, 63 PullGB Avoid, 52 IFFB Avoid, 51 LD, 80 OFFB, 82 PullOFFB, 63 bAVG, 87 bISO)

2017 (65 PA): 94 Overall (86 OHP/86 SHP), 94 Eye, 70 Contact, 85 Batted Ball (32 GB Avoid, 47 PullGB Avoid, 89 IFFB Avoid, 80 LD, 30 OFFB, 56 PullOFFB, 96 bAVG, 81 bISO)

Excellent plate discipline, probably a good but not great hitter who will flash some power to the pull-field.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

18. Trevor Larnach, Oregon State, Jr, LHB

2018 (253 PA): 53 Overall (53 OHP/49 SHP), 91 Eye, 37 Contact, 32 Batted Ball (46 GB Avoid, 16 PullGB Avoid, 91 IFFB Avoid, 54 LD, 66 OFFB, 11 PullOFFB, 85 bAVG, 97 bISO)

2017 (206 PA): 55 Overall (63 OHP/39 SHP), 95 Eye, 19 Contact, 67 Batted Ball (22 GB Avoid, 20 PullGB Avoid, 92 IFFB Avoid, 96 LD, 12 OFFB, 11 PullOFFB, 78 bAVG, 65 bISO)

Extreme walker thanks to eye/patience, but will also strike out a lot. Will be victimized by shifts given his PullGB bias, and that will further lower his batting average. Showed power to all fields in '18 and that will have to continue in the pros for him to provide some offensive value on batted balls.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

30. Jeremy Eierman, Missouri State, Jr, RHB

2018 (248 PA): 70 Overall (89 OHP/57 SHP), 48 Eye, 47 Contact, 87 Batted Ball (90 GB Avoid, 64 PullGB Avoid, 13 IFFB Avoid, 92 LD, 62 OFFB, 71 PullOFFB, 59 bAVG, 88 bISO)

2017 (275 PA): 82 Overall (84 OHP/78 SHP), 92 Eye, 49 Contact, 78 Batted Ball (57 GB Avoid, 28 PullGB Avoid, 61 IFFB Avoid, 17 LD, 84 OFFB, 96 PullOFFB, 87 bAVG, 99 bISO)

Contact held steady versus '17 whereas eye/walking decreased by a SD and a half. Batted ball profile improved in '18 but bAVG and bISO dropped curiously despite his hitting the ball in the air more. Forward splits (more markedly so in '18) suggest that he will struggle with same-handed pitchers in the pros.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

34. Greyson Jenista, Greyson, Wichita State, Jr, LHB

2018 (260 PA): 88 Overall (87 OHP/65 SHP), 98 Eye, 68 Contact, 57 Batted Ball (66 GB Avoid, 88 PullGB Avoid, 63 IFFB Avoid, 59 LD, 72 OFFB, 32 PullOFFB, 67 bAVG, 61 bISO)

2017 (272 PA): 83 Overall (72 OHP/81 SHP), 67 Eye, 64 Contact, 85 Batted Ball (47 GB Avoid, 78 PullGB Avoid, 75 IFFB Avoid, 94 LD, 24 OFFB, 36 PullOFFB, 82 bAVG, 62 bISO)

Some walking, some contact, some hitting, some slugging but probably not a lot of any of that save for perhaps walking.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

37. Jake McCarthy, Virginia, Jr, LHB

2018 (100 PA): 93 Overall (95 OHP/47 SHP), 46 Eye, 95 Contact, 64 Batted Ball (78 GB Avoid, 91 PullGB Avoid, 27 IFFB Avoid, 55 LD, 74 OFFB, 68 PullOFFB, 50 bAVG, 18 bISO)

2017 (265 PA): 75 Overall (86 OHP/34 SHP), 54 Eye, 75 Contact, 62 Batted Ball (34 GB Avoid, 76 PullGB Avoid, 55 IFFB Avoid, 72 LD, 24 OFFB, 54 PullOFFB, 76 bAVG, 54 bISO)

Good to great contact specialist who just might be an above-average batted ball profiler, too. Extreme forward splits as an NCAAer portends that he'll have trouble producing when he draws that rare LHSP or encounters LHRP.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

38. Nico Hoerner, Stanford, Jr, RHB

2018 (238 PA): 64 Overall (49 OHP/69 SHP), 16 Eye, 92 Contact, 32 Batted Ball (27 GB Avoid, 31 PullGB Avoid, 80 IFFB Avoid, 30 LD, 46 OFFB, 29 PullOFFB, 64 bAVG, 42 bISO)

2017 (258 PA): 73 Overall (67 OHP/71 SHP), 9 Eye, 96 Contact, 34 Batted Ball (34 GB Avoid, 44 PullGB Avoid, 31 IFFB Avoid, 49 LD, 23 OFFB, 42 PullOFFB, 34 bAVG, 26 bISO)

An extreme contact specialist who won't walk and may not hit either.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

44. Griffin Conine, Duke, Jr, LHB

2018 (238 PA): 37 Overall (32 OHP/50 SHP), 78 Eye, 12 Contact, 73 Batted Ball (76 GB Avoid, 91 PullGB Avoid, 36 IFFB Avoid, 61 LD, 73 OFFB, 71 PullOFFB, 92 bAVG, 99 bISO)

2017 (268 PA): 88 Overall (76 OHP/95 SHP), 87 Eye, 53 Contact, 94 Batted Ball (89 GB Avoid, 78 PullGB Avoid, 54 IFFB Avoid, 62 LD, 91 OFFB, 91 PullOFFB, 75 bAVG, 87 bISO)

Nearly everything went south (esp. Contact) in a down '18, though bAVG and bISO somehow improved. Increased aggression gone awry?

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

47. Tristan Pompey, Kentucky, Jr, SHB

2018 (223 PA): 60 Overall, 82 Eye, 32 Contact, 67 Batted Ball (46 GB Avoid, 68 PullGB Avoid, 60 IFFB Avoid, 92 LD, 26 OFFB, 34 PullOFFB, 98 bAVG, 83 bISO)

2017 (283 PA): 79 Overall, 79 Eye, 49 Contact, 87 Batted Ball (59 GB Avoid, 29 PullGB Avoid, 82 IFFB Avoid, 96 LD, 42 OFFB, 33 PullOFFB, 99 bAVG, 67 bISO)

Should walk but with some contact issues. Has ridden extreme LD rates to extreme bAVG in both seasons.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

54. Seth Beer, Clemson, Jr, LHB

2018 (277 PA): 100 Overall (99 OHP/97 SHP), 98 Eye, 90 Contact, 94 Batted Ball (83 GB Avoid, 51 PullGB Avoid, 15 IFFB Avoid, 71 LD, 71 OFFB, 98 PullOFFB, 66 bAVG, 97 bISO)

2017 (277 PA): 99 Overall (99 OHP/95 SHP), 99 Eye, 84 Contact, 92 Batted Ball (99 GB Avoid, 99 PullGB Avoid, 2 IFFB Avoid, 99 LD, 74 OFFB, 63 PullOFFB, 40 bAVG, 91 bISO)

Not much to not like a lot here. With batting the only realm where Beer doesn't grade out poorly he seems best cast as an AL 1B/DH who could perhaps patrol a smaller homepark LF such as can be found in Boston or Houston.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

56. Zach Watson, LSU, So, RHB

2018 (238 PA): 8 Overall (12 OHP/50 SHP), 8 Eye, 53 Contact, 7 Batted Ball (33 GB Avoid, 9 PullGB Avoid, 12 IFFB Avoid, 12 LD, 31 OFFB, 30 PullOFFB, 62 bAVG, 48 bISO)

2017 (194 PA): 45 Overall (30 OHP/52 SHP), 20 Eye, 48 Contact, 63 Batted Ball (44 GB Avoid, 16 PullGB Avoid, 60 IFFB Avoid, 35 LD, 57 OFFB, 76 PullOFFB, 73 bAVG, 52 bISO)

Absence of walks has limited the values of his plus plus wheels, as did his brutal '18 batted ball profile. Has no business turning pro this summer.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

59. Richie Palacios, Towson, Jr, LHB

2018 (254 PA): 100 Overall (96 OHP/99 SHP), 99 Eye, 98 Contact, 56 Batted Ball (97 GB Avoid, 96 PullGB Avoid, 8 IFFB Avoid, 48 LD, 94 OFFB, 74 PullOFFB, 32 bAVG, 81 bISO)

2017 (246 PA): 98 Overall (96 OHP/94 SHP), 50 Eye, 96 Contact, 91 Batted Ball (79 GB Avoid, 82 PullGB Avoid, 71 IFFB Avoid, 87 LD, 72 OFFB, 68 PullOFFB, 54 bAVG, 34 bISO)

Swapped an average eye and elite batted ball profile in '17 for the reverse scenario in '18. Either way the overall batting profile remains elite. Has a lot of speed, too, so there is more offensive value that he can add as a runner on the plate appearances of teammates.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

62. Steele Walker, Oklahoma, Jr, LHB

2018 (254 PA): 81 Overall (74 OHP/81 SHP), 46 Eye, 46 Contact, 97 Batted Ball (92 GB Avoid, 80 PullGB Avoid, 57 IFFB Avoid, 58 LD, 95 OFFB, 97 PullOFFB, 97 bAVG, 88 bISO)

2017 (243 PA): 75 Overall (65 OHP/74 SHP), 34 Eye, 65 Contact, 81 Batted Ball (66 GB Avoid, 22 PullGB Avoid, 47 IFFB Avoid, 77 LD, 51 OFFB, 71 PullOFFB, 91 bAVG, 83 bISO)

Good hitter with pull-reliant power but fringy plate discipline.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

63. Jameson Hannah, Dallas Baptist, Jr, LHB

2018 (277 PA): 85 Overall (80 OHP/77 SHP), 52 Eye, 83 Contact, 77 Batted Ball (52 GB Avoid, 81 PullGB Avoid, 66 IFFB Avoid, 87 LD, 36 OFFB, 51 PullOFFB, 86 bAVG, 66 bISO)

2017 (292 PA): 87 Overall (65 OHP/96 SHP), 50 Eye, 72 Contact, 90 Batted Ball (74 GB Avoid, 66 PullGB Avoid, 73 IFFB Avoid, 83 LD, 70 OFFB, 75 PullOFFB, 84 bAVG, 66 bISO)

Good hitter with above-average contact ability. Not showing much power despite pulling OFFB at a higher rate.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

65. Grant Little, Texas Tech, So, RHB

2018 (258 PA): 81 Overall (90 OHP/81 SHP), 70 Eye, 87 Contact, 33 Batted Ball (39 GB Avoid, 15 PullGB Avoid, 78 IFFB Avoid, 39 LD, 54 OFFB, 28 PullOFFB, 92 bAVG, 89 bISO)

2017 (217 PA): 20 Overall (2 OHP/53 SHP), 27 Eye, 35 Contact, 32 Batted Ball (39 GB Avoid, 26 PullGB Avoid, 28 IFFB Avoid, 54 LD, 27 OFFB, 30 PullOFFB, 98 bAVG, 53 bISO)

Much, much better plate discipline as a sophomore. Has posted elite bAVG in both seasons despite a subpar batted ball profile, which suggests that he's hitting the ball very hard even when he's generating events that skew punitive. The batted ball profile adjustments that seem to be warranted could just as well be worked on in the pros this fall than in a junior season return to Lubbock.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

67. DaShawn Keirsey, Utah, Jr, LHB

2018 (225 PA): 68 Overall (60 OHP/71 SHP), 21 Eye, 72 Contact, 77 Batted Ball (81 GB Avoid, 93 PullGB Avoid, 81 IFFB Avoid, 91 LD, 77 OFFB, 35 PullOFFB, 93 bAVG, 74 bISO)

2017 (241 PA): 33 Overall (27 OHP/55 SHP), 21 Eye, 62 Contact, 28 Batted Ball (41 GB Avoid, 72 PullGB Avoid, 57 IFFB Avoid, 72 LD, 30 OFFB, 9 PullOFFB, 87 bAVG, 54 bISO)

Does not walk, but makes contact. Batted ball profile improved a bunch in '18 as he lofted the ball more.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

77. Tyler Frank, Florida Atlantic, Jr, RHB

2018 (281 PA): 99 Overall (98 OHP/99 SHP), 98 Eye, 85 Contact, 94 Batted Ball (81 GB Avoid, 42 PullGB Avoid, 26 IFFB Avoid, 70 LD, 72 OFFB, 95 PullOFFB, 69 bAVG, 93 bISO)

2017 (289 PA): 96 Overall (51 OHP/99 SHP), 90 Eye, 89 Contact, 76 Batted Ball (73 GB Avoid, 48 PullGB Avoid, 55 IFFB Avoid, 33 LD, 84 OFFB, 80 PullOFFB, 59 bAVG, 63 bISO)

Elite plate discipline, half plus to plus hitter who may have above-average power that is very pull-dependent.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

79. Luken Baker, TCU, Jr, RHB

2018 (240 PA): 91 Overall (80 OHP/91 SHP), 84 Eye, 82 Contact, 64 Batted Ball (57 GB Avoid, 59 PullGB Avoid, 43 IFFB Avoid, 62 LD, 49 OFFB, 61 PullOFFB, 67 bAVG, 83 bISO)

2017 (207 PA): 96 Overall (98 OHP/87 SHP), 96 Eye, 54 Contact, 95 Batted Ball (89 GB Avoid, 74 PullGB Avoid, 52 IFFB Avoid, 90 LD, 77 OFFB, 85 PullOFFB, 85 bAVG, 84 bISO)

Walks a good bit, makes some contact, hits some, and slugs some. Matured into more of an all-around batter as an NCAAer than the prototypical slugger that many would have projected when he was a draft-eligible high school senior.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

82. Cadyn Grenier, Oregon State, Jr, RHB

2018 (269 PA): 58 Overall (77 OHP/55 SHP), 62 Eye, 48 Contact, 58 Batted Ball (79 GB Avoid, 49 PullGB Avoid, 47 IFFB Avoid, 35 LD, 87 OFFB, 62 PullOFFB, 61 bAVG, 51 bISO)

2017 (219 PA): 70 Overall (81 OHP/60 SHP), 95 Eye, 29 Contact, 73 Batted Ball (79 GB Avoid, 39 PullGB Avoid, 72 IFFB Avoid, 26 LD, 95 OFFB, 77 PullOFFB, 33 bAVG, 84 bISO)

Not much to get excited about in the batting profile, and the moderate forward splits suggests there will be problems ahead with the many RHP he will see in the pros.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

87. Nick Dunn, Maryland, Jr, LHB

2018 (254 PA): 99 Overall (96 OHP/91 SHP), 60 Eye, 98 Contact, 83 Batted Ball (93 GB Avoid, 90 PullGB Avoid, 27 IFFB Avoid, 58 LD, 92 OFFB, 85 PullOFFB, 51 bAVG, 78 bISO)

2017 (269 PA): 97 Overall (98 OHP/57 SHP), 47 Eye, 94 Contact, 86 Batted Ball (72 GB Avoid, 94 PullGB Avoid, 67 IFFB Avoid, 30 LD, 86 OFFB, 91 PullOFFB, 10 bAVG, 29 bISO)

Extreme contacter with a favorable batted ball profile, but probably not a high exit velocity guy. Was much better against the less seldom seen LHP in '18 than he was in '17.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

94. Carlos Cortes, South Carolina, So, LHB

2018 (249 PA): 79 Overall (64 OHP/86 SHP), 84 Eye, 88 Contact, 13 Batted Ball (95 GB Avoid, 83 PullGB Avoid, 0 IFFB Avoid, 3 LD, 86 OFFB, 92 PullOFFB, 8 bAVG, 87 bISO)

2017 (195 PA): 87 Overall (87 OHP/34 SHP), 43 Eye, 73 Contact, 94 Batted Ball (88 GB Avoid, 64 PullGB Avoid, 27 IFFB Avoid, 19 LD, 93 OFFB, 100 PullOFFB, 29 bAVG, 95 bISO)

Very advanced plate discipline by sophomore standards. Pretty much nothing but OFFB and IFFB on the '17 and '18 batted ball scorecard and that explains the low bAVG/high bISO results.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

97. Josh Stowers, Louisville, Jr, RHB

2018 (268 PA): 94 Overall (90 OHP/92 SHP), 94 Eye, 82 Contact, 65 Batted Ball (62 GB Avoid, 22 PullGB Avoid, 51 IFFB Avoid, 34 LD, 72 OFFB, 80 PullOFFB, 84 bAVG, 81 bISO)

2017 (216 PA): 81 Overall (78 OHP/80 SHP), 81 Eye, 76 Contact, 49 Batted Ball (58 GB Avoid, 34 PullGB Avoid, 24 IFFB Avoid, 51 LD, 47 OFFB, 58 PullOFFB, 50 bAVG, 48 bISO)

Excellent plate discipline. Better PullGB avoidance and LD generation may be required to consistently produce above-average batted ball profiles. Power is pull-reliant.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

99. Cal Raleigh, Florida St., Jr, SHB

2018 (272 PA): 95 Overall, 85 Eye, 78 Contact, 89 Batted Ball (79 GB Avoid, 82 PullGB Avoid, 42 IFFB Avoid, 74 LD, 74 OFFB, 87 PullOFFB, 82 bAVG, 89 bISO)

2017 (264 PA): 91 Overall, 66 Eye, 80 Contact, 88 Batted Ball (94 GB Avoid, 85 PullGB Avoid, 13 IFFB Avoid, 48 LD, 92 OFFB, 95 PullOFFB, 6 bAVG, 55 bISO)

In a perfect world, Cal would have wound up in Raleigh or Berkeley rather than Tallahassee. A good but not necessarily great all-around sort of profile that produces excellent overall value. Pull-reliant power.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

100. Kyle Isbel, UNLV, Jr, LHB

2018 (282 PA): 92 Overall (91 OHP/68 SHP), 80 Eye, 55 Contact, 99 Batted Ball (82 GB Avoid, 64 PullGB Avoid, 59 IFFB Avoid, 56 LD, 86 OFFB, 100 PullOFFB, 85 bAVG, 95 bISO)

2017 (260 PA): 14 Overall (28 OHP/7 SHP), 23 Eye, 50 Contact, 10 Batted Ball (37 GB Avoid, 45 PullGB Avoid, 74 IFFB Avoid, 4 LD, 77 OFFB, 27 PullOFFB, 10 bAVG, 38 bISO)

Day and night differences between the '18 and '17 eye and batted ball profiles, with no sacrifices in contact to achieve those improvements. Power is pull-reliant. Figures to have future troubles with LHP per the NCAA splits.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

101. Terrin Vavra, Minnesota, Jr, LHB

2018 (243 PA): 100 Overall (97 OHP/100 SHP), 57 Eye, 98 Contact, 99 Batted Ball (94 GB Avoid, 93 PullGB Avoid, 96 IFFB Avoid, 99 LD, 92 OFFB, 42 PullOFFB, 86 bAVG, 80 bISO)

2017 (226 PA): 72 Overall (52 OHP/92 SHP), 24 Eye, 76 Contact, 74 Batted Ball (43 GB Avoid, 92 PullGB Avoid, 96 IFFB Avoid, 87 LD, 53 OFFB, 30 PullOFFB, 41 bAVG, 31 bISO)

Profiles similarly to Richie Palacios from earlier and perhaps with harder contact if the improved '18 results are sustainable.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................

105. Nick Meyer, Cal Poly, Jr, RHB

2018 (246 PA): 85 Overall (97 OHP/75 SHP), 34 Eye, 96 Contact, 48 Batted Ball (46 GB Avoid, 38 PullGB Avoid, 42 IFFB Avoid, 77 LD, 29 OFFB, 28 PullOFFB, 74 bAVG, 23 bISO)

2017 (242 PA): 69 Overall (42 OHP/78 SHP), 28 Eye, 97 Contact, 12 Batted Ball (26 GB Avoid, 19 PullGB Avoid, 37 IFFB Avoid, 3 LD, 53 OFFB, 56 PullOFFB, 3 bAVG, 17 bISO)

Extreme contact specialist who is not likely to walk or hit much. Definitely will not slug.

.....................................................................................................................................................................................
