Hello everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Morning Report for Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018. Here’s a quick review of yesterday’s events.

****Well, that happened fast: Juan Soto made his first start for the Washington Nationals and went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer on the first pitch he saw.

****New York Yankees rookie Gleyber Torres went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs and three RBI against the Texas Rangers.

****Los Angeles Dodgers rookie Walker Buehler had another strong start, giving up one run over seven innings against the Colorado Rockies, giving up just two hits with zero walks and six strikeouts.

****Miami Marlins rookie Elieser Hernandez threw five solid innings against the New York Mets, giving up five hits and a run and zero walks while fanning three.

****St. Louis Cardinals rookie Tyler O’Neill hit a home run against the Kansas City Royals and has now homered in three straight games, hitting .368/.409/.895 in his first 10 major league games.

****Los Angeles Angels prospect Jose Suarez fanned 11 over five shutout innings for Double-A Mobile. He now has a crazy 51/8 K/BB in 29.2 innings for the BayBears.

****The Angels have promoted Jo Adell to High-A.

****Minnesota Twins prospect Nick Gordon went 2-for-5 with a home run for Double-A Chattanooga, bringing his season line to .333/.381/.525. He needs to move up to Triple-A.

****The San Diego Padres placed lefty MacKenzie Gore on the Low-A disabled list due to a blister.
