Good morning everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Morning Report for Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018.

****Atlanta Braves right-hander Mike Soroka had a successful major league debut against the New York Mets,g giving up one run over six innings on six hits, not walking anyone while fanning five.

****New York Yankees prospect Justus Sheffield fanned nine over six shutout innings for Double-A Trenton, giving up three hits and three walks. He has a 2.25 ERA in 28 innings overall with a 39/14 K/BB and just 16 hits allowed.

****Chicago White Sox prospect Dylan Cease fanned 12 over seven shutout innings for High-A Winston-Salem.

****Los Angeles Angels outfield prospect Michael Hermosillo hit for the cycle yesterday for Triple-A Salt Lake, with the home run being a Grand Slam. He’s hitting .275/.365/.516 overall.

****Minnesota Twins pitching prospects Edwar Colina and Jovani Moran combined for a no-hitter yesterday for the Cedar Rapids Kernels of the Midwest League.
