The fortunes of the Los Angeles Angels appear to be on the upswing. While they have been a bit snake bit by the injury bug in regards to their pitching staff in recent years, with most of their rotation spending significant time of the DL, so far this season, even with a couple of injuries still lingering, things are looking up.

The last two drafts under GM Billy Eppler, have gone away from the High Floor/Low Upside College centric drafts that were common under GM Jerry Dipoto (2012 - 2015), and switched to a more High Upside High School centric drafts. With the shift in draft philosophy, diving back into the July 2nd International Free Agent Market, and striking gold in getting Shohei Ohtani to sign on the dotted line, the Angels farm system is starting to emerge from hibernation.
