Good morning everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Morning Report for Wednesday, May 16th, 2018.

****The 2018 Minor League Ball Community Mock Draft will be Saturday, June 2nd, at 12 noon central time. We will be posting the scouting director volunteer sign-up sheet/post about 11 AM Central time today.

****Milwaukee Brewers outfield prospect Corey Ray went 4-for-5 with two homers and three RBI for Double-A Mobile. This brings him up to .269/.349/.481 on the campaign, along with seven steals in seven attempts.

****St. Louis Cardinals rookie Jack Flaherty gave up one earned run yesterday over 5.2 innings against the Minnesota Twins, with five hits, one walk, and three strikeouts.

****Los Angeles Angels rookie Jaime Barria threw seven strong innings against the Houston Astros, giving up four hits, one earned run with zero walks while whiffing seven.

****San Diego Padres prospect Fernando Tatis Jr. went 2-for-4 with two homers for Double-A San Antonio. He’s up to .235/.314/.477 on the season, hitting .333/.444/.719 in May, and has made only two errors all year at shortstop.

****New York Mets prospect Peter Alonso went 3-for-5 with two homers and three RBI for Double-A Binghamton. His line for the season is now .367/.478/.695.
