Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Thursday, May 18th, 2017. Let’s get started.

****Today’s Minor League Scoreboard

****Today’s MLB scoreboard

****Yesterday’s Highlights can be found in the Wednesday discussion thread.

COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Max Moroff went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs yesterday for Triple-A Indianapolis, giving him 12 homers on the season with a .274/.388/.624 line. We profiled him earlier this month during his brief major league call-up and the power surge is getting harder to ignore.

****Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Walker Buehler remains on a short pitch count as he recovers from Tommy John surgery, but he’s been hitting 100 MPH and his performance has been outstanding. Yesterday he went 3.2 shutout innings for Double-A Tulsa, fanning nine. On the season he has a 1.50 ERA with a 45/10 K/BB in 29 innings.

****St. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Zac Gallen had another strong outing for High-A Palm Beach in the Florida State League, throwing eight shutout innings with six strikeouts. He now has a 1.47 ERA in 43 innings with a 51/8 K/BB.
