Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Thursday, May 11th, 2017. Let’s get started.

****Today’s Minor League Scoreboard

****Today’s MLB scoreboard

****Highlights from yesterday can be found in the Wednesday comments thread.

COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****Tampa Bay Rays pitching prospect Jacob Faria had a bizarre game for the Triple-A Durham Bulls. He went 4.2 innings, giving up seven hits and three runs, walked two, and struck out 13. He now has a 58/13 K/BB ratio in 36 innings allowed over seven starts.

****University of Houston left-hander and potential 2017 first-round draft pick Seth Romero has been dismissed from his college team after fighting with a teammate. It remains to be seen how this will impact his draft status. While his effort on the field hasn’t been an issue recently, his behavior off the field has been a consistent and significant problem.

****New York Yankees outfield prospect and 2016 first round draft pick Blake Rutherford went 4-for-5 with two runs scored for Low-A Charleston, raising his season line to .282/.375/.409. Two of the hits were triples.

****Pittsburgh Pirates pitching prospect Mitch Keller had to leave his start for High-A Bradenton early yesterday after being stung by a bee. When not under insect assault he’s been excellent this year, posting a 2.54 ERA in 39 innings with a 38/7 K/BB.
