SELECTED HIGHLIGHTS FROM YESTERDAY

****Houston Astros outfield prospect Derek Fisher went 3-for-5 for Triple-A Fresno in their game against Salt Lake, hitting a home run and scoring three runs. He’s now hitting .279/.379/.515 on the year with 10 walks and 19 strikeouts in 68 at-bats.

****Cody Bellinger went 1-for-3 with a walk in his major league debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

****A fine start from Texas Rangers southpaw pitching prospect Yohander Mendez, giving up just one hit and two walks with seven strikeouts in seven innings of work for Double-A Frisco.

****Of course, that was nothing compared to what San Francisco Giants prospect Domenic Mazza did: he threw a nine-inning perfect game for Low-A Augusta against Lexington in South Atlantic League action, fanning nine. Mazza was drafted by the Giants in the 22nd round in 2015 from the University of California-Santa Barbara.
