Good afternoon fellow baseball fans and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Friday, October 13th, 2017.

Yesterday was Day Three of the 2017 Arizona Fall League. Some highlights:

****Well, not exactly a highlight but an important piece of news: Atlanta Braves mega prospect Ronald Acuna was struck by a pitch from Detroit Tigers prospect Spencer Turnbull, resulting in a contusion and causing him to be removed from the game the following inning. Word is that Acuna will be OK though he may miss a day or two.

****Acuna’s fellow Braves farmhand and Peoria Javelinas teammate Austin Riley went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Peoria’s 10-9 victory over Mesa. Seattle Mariners outfield/first base prospect Eric Filia also collected three hits.

****Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Matt Beaty generated three hits for the Glendale Desert Dogs in their 8-2 victory over Surprise. Chicago White Sox right-hander Dylan Covey threw five shutout innings for the win.

****New York Yankees outfield prospect Estevan Florial went 4-for-5 with three runs scored in Scottsdale’s 8-0 triumph over Salt River.
