vinnie catricala (seattle)
dude is raking this year as an age-appropriate 22-year-old at jackson (aa), and it looks like he’s had a pretty impressive track record throughout his minor league career yet i can’t find him on a single prospect list anywhere. what’s his story? projection?

Agreed
I’d love to see a prospect of the day type piece on Vinnie at some point

you could probably throw in Nicolino and Hutchison too. Hutchison has gone from a maybe top 30 organizational prospect to perhaps Jays best pitching prospect. Would love to read something about him

Agreed
I’m not even a Jays fan, but all their young arms are impressive to me and I didn’t want to list them all and sound like some homer.

No, it's a great suggestion
John did a piece on the Jays’ catching depth a while ago and it’d be cool to see a similar thing for their pitching depth.
"BA doesn't stand for Batting Average. It’s Brandon Allen, as in the percentage of a hitter’s worth compared to Brandon Allen. Ted Williams, at his best, was only 4/10th of the hitter Brandon Allen is today." - YonYonson

Tommy Joseph
I know some people that he was a sleeper goin into the year. 20 HRs on the season and something like 8 in his last 10. Be curious to hear your opinion on him.

Possible call ups for September
Maybe Top three per team or just top 20 per league…
by Berndaddy on Aug 23, 2025 5:36 PM EDT reply actions
+1
Home stretch for fantasy baseball and if you are in a deep league September call-ups offer the last chance to improve your club.
Sometime hard to speculate who will be called up so might be nice to see analysis just after the call-ups are announced.

Sleepers you missed
Maybe players you cut from your final list of sleepers that you wish you hadn’t, as they actually broke out.

Impact Players for 2012...
Prospects who likely will (or should) step in for their teams next season…granted, some of the better ones (Machado) would be not be included, nor can we predict injuries.

McCutch
You said you were going to do a “Look at Andrew McCutchen” back in July. Is this still in the plans? Pretty sure I didn’t miss anything but I could be wrong.

How about a look at some prospects whose stock is falling
due to poor performances in the second half of the year or the whole year? Be interested to see who is falling down lists that are at the upper levels (AA and AAA guys)

Edwin Carl
Forgive me, but I don’t care that he’s in rookie ball and therefore essentially irrelevant. Someone has to explain to me exactly what he’s using to amass a SO/9 of nearly 20 (and a SO/BB of 68/3). Okay, he’s almost 23. Fine, but what do you do with a guy like that?
by Rsin2028 on Aug 25, 2025 4:09 AM EDT reply actions
I’d still be interested in a Prospect Retro on Gary Redus. Wondering what you’d make of his crazy rookie ball stats.
