Comparing the Two Alex Gonzalezi
As you can see from their Career Profiles, the similarities between the two Alex Gonzalezes are uncanny.
They were extremely similar as hitters, featuring some power but low batting averages and OBPs due to trouble with plate discipline. Their defensive values were very similar. Their WARs are 13.7 and 13.6. Their list of comparable players feature many of the same names. Their strengths and weaknesses were virtually identical. One has a career OPS of .694; the other has a career OPS of .696. Their OPS+ marks are 79 and 81.
Alex S. hit .151/.224/.245 in a 15-game trial following his Triple-A season. Alex hit .151/.240/.279 in a 25-game trial following his Triple-A season. When they reached the majors, they were both listed at 6-0, 180 pounds.
Alex has a career hitting RAA of -134.1, career fielding RAA of 25.4, and overall career RAA of 137.7
Alex S. had a career hitting RAA of -132.1, career fielding RAAA of 24.3, and overall career RAA of 138.8.

Career length
The biggest difference between the Alex Gonzalezes right now is age. Alex S. Gonzalez was done in the majors at age 33; meanwhile, Alex “Sea Bass” Gonzalez is still going at age 34. It will be interesting to see whether he can keep his skillset much longer than the other one managed.
