Keeper League Prospects

I was wondering what the communities thoughts were on some prospects that have not been talk about that much. In our league players are kept until their contracts expire. We already have about 175 prospects on teams already so we have gotten fairly deep into the prospect pool. We are expanding to include 10 more prospects per team (15 teams).  Players I am interested are below. Please add any other prospects in the comments that you feel would be worth considering in my draft.

Jhan Marinez, SP, FLA

Yunesky Maya, SP, WSN

Brandol Perez, SP, SEA

Charlie Blackmon, OF, COL

Vance Worley, SP, PHI

Adam Warren, SP, NYY

Cory Vaughn, OF, NYM

Oswaldo Arcia, OF, MIN

without having any idea who has already been taken...

yorman rodriguez
esteilon peguero
max kepler
the carlos perezes(atl and tor)
luis heredia
adis portillo(i still believe in him)
rafael depaula

these are all IFA’s from the past year or two that may have slipped through the cracks or just not been drafted yet if you havent done this years draft. as for the ones you listed, i have only heard of maya and arcia, with arcia being the clear leader out of that group…

None of those guys are taken

I have heredia and rodriguez on my list already. A lot of the international free agents from the last few years are still available. The problem that I have with heredia is that he is so young and I feel that the projections on players like that are tough to be confident in. I think back to Ynoa, I know some of this problems are injury related. He was so hyped up and has done nothing.

I agree on Heredia, but if Rodriguez is available, I'd definitely add him.

I’m trying to keep somewhat low on the buzz because he’s so far away and a lot can happen, but he’d be like a Dom Brown level of player in a couple of years if things work out.

Of those you listed...

Blakmon
Arcia
Vaughn
Marinez

scream out to me in that order.

Most rankings I've seen have arcia ahead of blackmon

I am wondering what your reasoning is for having it the other way around.

by MrMetsDaily on Jan 13, 2026 3:29 PM EST up reply actions

I think...

Blackmon is closer to the majors, has better size, a little safer, and he can play all three OF spots which is valuable in terms of playing time early on. He’s been hitting leadoff during much of his time in the minors so I believe his power numbers are hidden somewhat. I really like him.

That being said. I like Yorman Rodriguez a ton so it would be between those 2 for me. If you want help sooner rather than later go Blackmon but if you’re deep and can wait 2 to 3 year go Rodriguez.

+1

I’m really warming up to Blackmon myself. I think he’s one of the more underrated prospects out there.

Thanks to those who keep bringing him up.

I feel.

Blackmon is fairly underrated as well. I was wondering if anyone had an ETA for the majors. He was pretty strong in the AFL this year too. His power is definitely starting to show as he had a .187 ISO in AA last year.

Adonis Cardona

got the largest signing bonus in International free agency(among the kiddies, 17 and younger). Heredia is the one that’s hyped up but he got a low signing bonus and there’s no evidence to suggest Cardona’s ceiling is any lower.

Cardona

What’s the outlook on him? He’s so young but I’ve heard that he is very talented. Is he someone that could break into the majors before he turns 20?

Carlos Matias (Martinez), SP, STL

If he isn’t taken, scoop him up. Of the ones you have listed above, I prefer Arcia, Blackmon, and (as a sleeper) Brandol Perez.
