It was Battle of the Soft-Tossing Lefties today, Fabio Castro for Las Vegas and Heath Phillips for Omaha. Neither of them threw harder than 87 MPH, but both of them pitched fairly well, though they had good defensive support and some luck behind them. Final score was Las Vegas 2, Omaha 0, in 11 innings. Ironically, the best stuff of the night belonged to Carlos Rosa, who was also the only pitcher to give up a run. He touched 96 once and was hitting 92 consistently with movement. Breaking ball was erratic.

Jordan Parraz has some pop to the opposite field but doesn't pull the ball much, at least in the two games I saw.

I'm heading home in the morning and will have a complete report for you tomorrow night or Saturday, including video.
