Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Thursday, the Glorious First of June, 2017.

COOL HISTORICAL STUFF

****On this date in 1794, the British Channel Fleet under Lord Richard Howe defeated the French fleet in a major battle which went down on history as the Glorious First of June.

COOL BASEBALL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****Philadelphia Phillies prospect Scott Kingery went 4-for-4 for Double-A Reading yesterday with a home run and two RBI, moving his season slash line to .323/.403/.682 with 17 homers in 198 at-bats. I’d have to think a promotion to Triple-A is on the agenda soon, as the Eastern League is certainly not challenging him.

****Speaking of “not challenged,” Toronto Blue Jays prospect Bo Bichette continues to annihilate Midwest League pitching for the Lansing Lugnuts, going 3-for-4 yesterday. He’s hitting .439 over his last 10 games and is up to .381/.458/.619 on the season. At age 19. Don’t forget he hit .427 in rookie ball last season and is now hitting .396/.456/.656 in 250 professional at-bats.

At what point do you promote him to High-A?
