USA roster is so loaded.

Guys I am most looking forward to seeing: Barnes, Tailon, Walker, and Fernandez. Not too much to see in one game from a hitter.

A bit pitching heavy

…but, given this years crop of prospects that had to be expected

I didn't know Chris Reed was born in England

B-ref says California though. Weird.

Kinda pissed

was planning on going. Blame goes to my baby’s mama. Unexpectedly had to pay for something from years ago, killing my Futures Game fund.

My buddy and I found tickets on Stub Hub for $7 each; it’ll make for a nice day trip.

This is great, thanks Mathis

Does anyone know whether this is televised? Where is the Futures Game held?

by brirob on Jun 21, 2025 5:06 PM EDT reply actions

Kansas City

Yes

Was on ESPN last year, I think the same this year. July 8th

The press release story from MLB.com mentioned it would be on MLB.tv this year. Which would be AWESOME if true.

Can they create a special Designated Runner slot

And just let Billy Hamilton run for the first guy who reaches base each inning?
I don’t think he’s the best prospect (by a LONG shot), but he’s certainly the one I want to watch the most. Especially on a stage like this.

by realitypolice on Jun 21, 2025 6:04 PM EDT reply actions

was thinking the same thing

Put him in as a pinch runner and give him the green light.

by ADLC on Jun 22, 2025 2:40 AM EDT up reply actions

Bonilla's kinda random

now that he’s back relieving (though he had been very good, don’t get me wrong)

KC with 3 players total

Deserved or catering to home fans?

Nick Adenhart will always be my favorite baseball player
If you didn't know by now, my screen name is sarcastic

odorizzi and myers were kind of a given, and ventura has turned into a nice SP prospect this year, he only has to be able to hold up

Really looking forward to Yordano’s appearance!

Ventura just might be the World's best pitching prospect

He’s really taken a huge step forward this year.

by guru4u on Jun 22, 2025 3:14 PM EDT up reply actions

The fact that they're Royals was certainly a factor, methinks

Bur that’s not a bad thing. I’d start Odorizzi and Ventura, no doubt.

by CaptainCanuck on Jun 21, 2025 10:14 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions

Odorizzi is starting for sure

Haven’t heard about Ventura though.

Is anyone

married to the U.S. vs. World format? I think I’d rather just see the usual AL/NL match-up or something more imaginative. My wife has been able to eye ball the last couple of World rosters and question the talent, which is saying something.

+1

I agree, Charles, AL/NL would make for a better game.

by mlbprospectpulse on Jun 22, 2025 12:42 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree as well, why was it ever set up as US vs World, end game eventually is NL vs AL, should be the same in the Futures game to me.

by Jax5 on Jun 22, 2025 12:54 PM EDT up reply actions

Can't wait until it is New York next year so I can actually go

Down 2 in the bottom of the ninth?
Lets Bring in Willie Harris!
