If you could have one guy.
Taylor Green, Mat Gamel, Logan Schafer or Caleb Gindl?

hmmm
Well I saw all four of them over the weekend.
It would depend on what my team needed I suppose. I don’t see any of them as so tremendously superior as to outshine the others. If I needed a guy who could play center you have to go with Schafer. If I didn’t care as much about that but was looking for more of a bat for platoon work, Gindl.
What I saw of Green over the weekend wasn’t really that impressive. He just looked like a guy to me, nice swing but didn’t stand out. If it wasn’t for his stats and reputation, I don’t know that I would have thought a lot about him.

For me
Gamel is the only one of the group who profiles as a solid starter.
I see Schafer and Gindl as bench players, and Green as a starter on a non competeing team.

I’m trying to reevaluate how I grade relievers. I think I tend to grade them too high in the past.
Tolleson would likely be a B- right now. I see him as a solid setup man at worst, although if he maintains these kinds of ratios in AAA and the majors he could close if he gets the opportunity.

they bumped him to A ball so quickly. I guess it might have had something to do with Ross Wilson getting injured and Kannapolis needing a 2nd baseman. He’s actually held his own so far though. but his improvement in his BB/K ratio seems to mirror his ability to get base hits this season. This is significant considering the first three months of this year he was sitting at 23 BB’s v. 79 K’s while hitting poorly. Last two months - well over .300 with a 26 BB v. 40 K ratio. Consequently, a more discerning eye seems to dictate 2nd half as their is real improvement. Would now like to see him increase the # of XBH.

You can disagree but its certainly not silly
It was clearly a whole lot easier to mask a lack of real power with the BESR bats than with the BBCOR bats. Scouts seem to really like the new bats for this very reason.
by nixa37 on Aug 27, 2025 11:53 AM EDT up reply actions
No I think it's extremely silly
He called them “frauds.” I like the new bats as well, but to pin Colon/Eibner/Rendon’s prospect status on the metal bat is silly. I mean, Christian Colon’s first full season is taking place in AA. No one was expecting massive power out of him. As for Eibner, he was drafted on his tools; he was a 2 way player who everyone knew was going to be a project. They also got to see these players in wood bat leagues over their college career. To say they were drafted because evaluators were fooled by lively metal bats is silly in my opinion.

Scouts got fooled by aluminum bat power all the time
I don’t think he was saying they were non-prospects or anything without the bats, but rather that they got overrated in the draft because some scouts thought their bats would translate better than they have. I certainly don’t think that’s a silly theory, but I guess we just disagree on that one.

This seems to be the lietmotif of the week
If you mis-characterize a prospect, you will inevitably misinterpret his initial pro performance. If you impose unrealistic expectations on a prospect’s initial pro performance, or fail to properly account for the circumstances (e.g. level of competition, learning a new position), you will misinterpret the performance. Jeff is right: this is silly. I may as well propose Victor Roache as a plus runner entering next year’s draft and then complain about his lack of stolen bases when he hits the minors.
by blackoutyears on Aug 27, 2025 1:18 PM EDT up reply actions
presumptuous blanket claims
I don’t see how “disagreeing with blackoutyears” is in any way synonymous with misinterpreting data or failing to make prudent observations, but you’re certainly doing your damnedest to try to discredit everyone who doesn’t agree with your POV as either ignorant or a spinmaster.
by mrkupe on Aug 27, 2025 1:45 PM EDT up reply actions
Yes,
my opinions are never congruent with those of others, so that in effect when you disagree with me (or anyone) you are disagreeing with many peopel who hold that position. And by all means let’s ignore the fact that the above positions Colon and Eibner are clearly out of line with “prudent observation”.
by blackoutyears on Aug 29, 2025 11:22 AM EDT up reply actions
I don't think anyone was expecting quite as much BABIP trouble either
Isn’t it possible that his .268 BABIP is in part because he doesn’t hit the ball with any authority? I don’t know, I’m not even necessarily agreeing with the initial post on the subject, I just don’t think it a silly theory that guys might have been overrated due to the BESR bats.
by nixa37 on Aug 27, 2025 1:26 PM EDT up reply actions
We're not generalizing
Some players have been mischaracterized as guys that will have their swing translate to wood who didn’t. The original post took aim at Eibner, Colon, and Rendon. These are high profile players who spent plenty of time under the scrutiny of being top prospects. They have played in wood bat leagues during the summer. On top of it all, they weren’t guys where power was the focal point of their game.
Colon was seen as having below average power potential when he was drafted. He was high profile because of his solid across the board tools, polish, and instincts. Hell, I didn’t even like him as a draft prospect, but to call him a fraud who was only productive because of lively bats? I don’t buy that at all. Shit, he’s holding his own in AA in his first full season, showing about what we expected him to (aside from a lower BABIP).
Rendon’s games isn’t power driven either. Even at the height of his prospect status, the comps he was getting specifically downplayed the power. His frame isn’t conducive to more than average power, even with his ridiculous bat speed.
Eibner? He is raw and toolsy. A project who many liked better on the mound than center field. His struggles are unsurprising.
I just don’t see where the leap can be made to blame it on the scouting being fooled by lively metal bats. I think it’s a silly assertion.

I will plea bargain the Fraud Charge down to...
…lets say…..Failure to properly represent elite status.
OK, Im clearly jaded regarding selections of (#4 overall) Colon and Eibner from a fan perspective, but I think my theory is solid. JJ Cooper called Colon the second best pure bat in the draft and he hit 17 hrs his Sr season. Eibner actually has shown some power and solid on base skills, he just completely lacks the “consistantly hit the ball hard enough to get base hits” gene.
My understanding of the new bats is this: Those players who consistantly square up the ball anyway, i.e, pure hitters with great hand-eye accuracy, arent effected nearly as much by the bbcor bats as those who dont, but still may have great bat speed and a fluid swing. I think this is one of the main reasons why it has been so difficult to translate player projection from amateur to pro until now. A player who looked the part mechanically, in quickness and strengthwise, hitting a baseball with the BESR bat, now has a much smaller (literally) margin for error.
From this, it is my feeling that Colon and Eibner might be solid examples of the type of college player whos previous success in college is now called into question specifically because their inability to, as mentioned above, consistantly square up was masked by a bat with a sweet spot twice the size of the new bbcor bat.
I threw Rendon in there as a theory guinea pig because of the glaring differences in his final two seasons. One with the old bat, one with the new. If I remember correctly his slugging fell from like, .900 to .500. I have not studied his career nearly as much as many of this topics posters, but my latent speculation wonders if his stats raise a red flag and if it played a part in his (slight) draft slide.
In conclusion, I am very curious to see how much the accuracy of prospect projection is improved by the new bat of both pitchers and hitters. I suspect that it will be substantial. There are a LOT of college coaches that hated it, but thats a good thing.
Jeff Reese makes solid points about these 3 playing in wood bat leagues and the part they play in evaluation. I did not think of that. Even so, It was probably a pretty small sample and I would be very curious to know how they did. After watching him the last 2 yrs, I cant imagine Colon did very well.

All I see is .254/.323/.341 at the launching pad that is NW Arkansas. That and his below average skills at SS. Not exactly what you’d hope from the #4 pick. His clone is already on our KC roster. AKA: Chris Getz.
by Crownblue on Aug 28, 2025 5:08 AM EDT up reply actions
"Pure bat"
implies contact ability and barrel awareness, not power per se, though a player with those abilities may reasonably be expected to develop average power.
by blackoutyears on Aug 29, 2025 11:25 AM EDT up reply actions
I'm a huge fan of the new bats
I think it makes the college game more enjoyable and quicker paced. However, they’re not without flaws, a lot of people have came out and said that they’re actually less lively than wooden bats. Some have said that balls off the BBCOR bats don’t produce the back spin that wooden bats do. So what we could be looking at is a reversal where pitchers look better as a result of these bats than their actual talent level. It still all comes back to scouting.
I never was much of a Christian Colon fan so I won’t try to defend Cooper, but I assume he meant solely the hit tool as the power has always been below-average.

by royshowell on Aug 25, 2025 11:13 AM EDT reply actions
I'd argue they've been trying to get them to a point where they're being challenged
Syndergaard and Nicolino have cruised at Vancouver, utterly unchallenged, same for Molina and Hutchison at Dunedin, they had nothing left to prove. Sanchez was the only really interesting promotion i’d argue, and he had improved recently at Bluefield prior to the promotion.
by TtD on Aug 25, 2025 11:31 AM EDT up reply actions
case by case
I tend to think pitchers should be promoted conservatively, especially guys coming out of high school. I like the way the Rays do things.
In this case, as TdD points out, Syndergaard and Nicolino weren’t being challenged at all. You have to find the right balance for each player and I don’t have a real issue with any of these promotions, except for Sanchez which seems aggressive to me. I MIGHT have left Hutchison at Dunedin to finish the year, but the Jays know a lot more about how ready he is than I do.

It is an OK season, not great, not terrible either. The Pirates will SAY they are happy either way, and I think the ERA is a bit inflated compared to what the components should lead to. Fangraphs isn’t loading for me right now so I don’t know what his FIP is. Scouting reports remain positive.
by John Sickels on Aug 25, 2025 1:00 PM EDT up reply actions
FIP of 3.53 for fangraphs
although firstinning.com has a FIP of 3.84
looking at his monthly splits it looks like he may be getting tired (increased walks/decreased Ks in august). Had a terrible BABIP in July (.436) which I presume led to the inflated ERA for that month, as his other components remained stable.
Thanks for the reply.

He's been working on his fastball command and not throwing his curveball as much.

The Pirates strongly emphasize fastball command in the low minors
Their program — which also emphasizes sound, repeatable mechanics and pitching inside — tends to make the lower minor pitchers one-pitch pitchers. Opposing hitters can just sit on the fastball when facing Pirates pitching prospects. Hence Taillon’s mediocre stats.
The goal of this program is to force these young pitchers to get outs by throwing quality fastballs. The Pirates believe fastball command and throwing inside are the foundation on which a pitcher can build his repertoire. As the pitchers advance, they’ll add the rest of their pitches to their arsenal. Taillon already has a great curveball. I’d expect more strikeouts from him once he reaches AA Altoona.

Interesting stuff. Do you think this also applies to ZVR’s issues?
by John Sickels on Aug 26, 2025 10:59 AM EDT up reply actions
I don't know
I kind of think the Pirates’ emphasis on fastball command might be a bit overstated. Here is an interview with Kawika Emsley-Pai, a catcher who spent last season in the DBacks’ system and this season in the Pirates’ system, and he says the emphasis on fastball command is similar in the two organizations. And here is an interview with the pitching coach for WV (Taillon and ZVR’s team) where he says they let the pitchers at that level throw whatever they want.
I don’t doubt that the Pirates emphasize fastball command, especially in short-season ball, but I’m not sure they’re extreme in that regard, and I don’t really buy it as an excuse for the struggles of guys in full-season leagues. I watched both Taillon and ZVR on milb.tv a couple times this year, and though they did throw too many fastballs they were mixing in their secondaries as well. I’d hesitate to blame the game-calling for their struggles; they certainly weren’t one-pitch pitchers.
by epoc on Aug 26, 2025 11:45 AM EDT up reply actions
The Johnson interview was somewhat unclear
The pitchers will advance when they show they can get outs with the fastball. Yet they can throw whatever they want whenever they want. I’d say the prospects will get the drift of this program and work on fastball command instead of relying on their secondary pitches.
It was also unclear whether Johnson was talking about the college pitchers on the WV roster or about all of the pitchers, including those drafted out of high school, when he stated that there are no rules about what to throw.

ZVR...
…has improved as the season has progressed. Without first hand experience, I’d not want to say what his problem was and is. Some who attended early games said he was throwing in the mid- to high-80s. Recent reports have him sitting in the low 90s.
John Drecker of Pirates Prospects wrote a nice article on this issue. His conclusion:
So when you see some pitchers struggling in the lower minors for the Pirates it is important to remember they have a game plan that they plan on sticking to. These pitchers are taught to pound the inside of the plate. Sometimes it may get them in trouble with hit batters in key situations and sometimes throwing all these fastballs for strikes will get them hit hard, but it is much better for them to learn from their mistakes in the minors than it is in the majors. The Pirates are hoping that this leads to a pitching staff of pitchers and not a staff full of throwers.

by blackoutyears on Aug 27, 2025 12:26 AM EDT up reply actions
Yep
Pirates fans who follow the minors have been concerned. I feel nervous whenever I read that the Pirates have taken another projectable pitcher — i.e. a pitcher that will add velocity as he matures. ZVR is the reason for this. He was supposed to be a much better prospect than he has shown so for.

by steve_z on Aug 27, 2025 12:31 AM EDT up reply actions
A recent report attributes ZVR's
second half improvement to his using his secondary pitches more than his fastball. While it’s encouraging to know that his secondary pitches make ZVR an effective pitcher in a low-A league, he’ll need to work on his fastball if he wants to advance past AA.

I'll maintain my skepticism
In the appearances that I watched, he was NOT a one pitch guy. He’s really not all that different in approach at this point from many similar arms that I’ve seen both this year and in previous years.
He is still a pretty good looking prospect, with good velocity behind a lively if hittable fastball and an outstanding breaking ball. But I can’t help but think that there’s a lot of ex post facto conjecture going on. There was so much hype around Taillon last year, and it’s pretty obvious that there are a lot of people who aren’t interested in seeing him as any less than fully justifying that hype. He might well do that in time, but he hasn’t done it this year.
by mrkupe on Aug 26, 2025 3:35 PM EDT up reply actions
I think it's more
that a lot of people think it’s ridiculous that some are using his performance to support a backlash against hype, said hype seeming to nettle some more than others.
by blackoutyears on Aug 27, 2025 12:32 AM EDT up reply actions
I don't think the hype has bothered too many people, myself included
There is absolutely no mistaking that Taillon is a VERY gifted pitcher. If anybody says otherwise, they need to re-evaluate.
To expand on my earlier contention, it seems like the biggest Taillon supporters are exceptionally bullish on his future projection, with one poster here even suggesting that his season has provided evidence that his upside is “best pitcher in MLB”. My argument is that it’s perfectly fine to really like him and yet “only” have him down as a future 2-3 starter. I have gotten the impression that making a statement along these lines, however, is seen as borderline offensive to some.
by mrkupe on Aug 27, 2025 5:18 AM EDT up reply actions
I'd say that positing
him as a #3 starter and being surprised when some take offense is bemusing. You can’t honestly say that it’s not a controversial statement. It’s fine if you want to sell him as less than he’s been advertised, but I’d retort that I find your willingness to pronounce a player’s future definitively based on their initial pro performance highly questionable. I find this urge to throw grades and future rotation numbers on teenagers comical.
by blackoutyears on Aug 27, 2025 1:22 PM EDT up reply actions
definitive? hardly
My projections are always fluid and open to re-assessment as players develop new skills, refine their existing skills, etc. I think most people operate that way. That doesn’t mean that we don’t project - I mean, that’s kind of the whole point. We project based on what we know, both in terms of raw talent and in terms of their ability to realize the potential of that talent. Projection happens at every stage of a young player’s amateur and minor league career. Projection was what made Jameson Taillon look that much better than all the other guys and projection is what got him a $6 million-plus bonus.
If you don’t care to talk about first year pro players or teenagers, by all means refrain, but don’t give me hell because I’m inclined to do so.
I don’t see how my thoughts re: Taillon constitute a controversial statement at all. I’ve already said that I like Taillon and that I think he has a positive future ahead of him. If somebody wants to take anything less than “future #1 starter” as a negative statement, so be it, but I don’t really see the point.
by mrkupe on Aug 27, 2025 1:58 PM EDT up reply actions
if you were trying to make a point, it was lost on me
Give me something specific to work with here. It was a good start. Most good young pitching prospects will have those. I don’t react any more to individual good starts than I do to individual bad starts. I mean, what would you take from me posting “4 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 3 K today. That is all.” after he has a rough start? I wouldn’t do that, because it really doesn’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things. So again, I’ll ask, what exactly are you trying to say? Spell it out for me, and just limit yourself to expounding on your last post.

There’s reasonable projection and then there’s pointlessly predictive prescriptions based on insufficient evidence. And you’re not nearly so fluid or unequivocal as you imply. If you were we wouldn’t be having this exchange. As with most operators of your type (don’t crap on My Process!) this is about you, not the players. It’s about your need to fill some oracular role that aggrandizes you. All in the service of what, throwing letter grades on players so you can make a list? I was big on him pre-season but he has stagnated offensively and even his defense hasn’t been as good as last year. I don’t know about the fatigue factor. He hit great in April, poorly in May and June, hit great in July, then has sucked again in August. The Lansing commentators are much closer to the situation so perhaps their theory is valid. This sounds like what I’ve heard…stuff not as good as expected. He’s throwing strikes just fine, but is giving up a large number of hits in the Northwest League with a so-so strikeout rate. That dovetails with the rumors/reports. I would make him a Grade C right now but I will know more in a couple of weeks.

Comparable pitchers... ?
Hultzen to Bauer
Walker to Skaggs
Paxton to Parker
Campos to Bradley
That’s not perfect but in a way I think you give a little on side and take a little on another side and overall those sets of 4 come close. Bradley is going to be ranked higher than Campos obviously but at least Campos has some pro numbers. Most people are going to rank Bauer above Hultzen but lets just see what happens next year. Walker is above Skaggs. Paxton and Parker are going to be ranked very close to each other, I think in some lists Paxton will be top 20.
As an M’s fan I’m biased. But I think objectively, its close. The best part about it is that in the beginning of the year we graduated our only true starting pitching prospect that was ranked and then now we have 3 or 4 with a few more potentially coming.

for some reason
i think Paxton to Skaggs, more than Walker to Skaggs. if anything, in terms of just having awesome stuff and being really far from the majors, isn’t Walker to Bradley a closer rank comparison? how far is Walker away from the majors?
i think if you go top three, i give the edge to the Mariners. i really like Paxton. i think if you go top four, i give the edge to the Dbacks (not that familiar with the Mariners system…how good is Campos? is he a top 100?). i’m probably biased too as a Dbacks fan.
Walkers timetable matters too. rotation with Felix, Pineda, Hultzen, Paxton would be hella scary. rotation of Kennedy, Hudson, Bauer, Skaggs, Parker would be hella scary too.
it’ll be interesting to see how all these deep pitching systems turn out.

Walker is above Skaggs?
Why would you just assume that? I know both BA and Law had Skaggs in front of Walker on their midseason lists, so it certainly doesn’t appear to be industry consensus. Skaggs was just as dominant in low-A last year as Walker is this year (both 18) and Skaggs has taken a huge step forward this year.

It's easy to compare the two
They had very similar pluses and minuses coming out of the draft. Minor’s velocity ticked up in pro ball, and I don’t think we should expect the same from Gilmartin. I see him ultimately as a guy with:
-Athleticism
-Below-average fastball
-Plus change
-Above-average breaking ball
-Plus command
He should move quickly, fitting in at the back of a rotation.

Freddy Galvis intrigues the hell out of me
He’s hung around the back end of the Phillies Top 20 for a few years now, as a Defense only SS (and his defense is as good as advertised, from the few times, I’ve seen him). Suddenly this year he seems to have figured out what he’s doing at the plate and even as a 21 year old in AAA has been doing pretty well the last month.
I had seen him as a future utility infielder before this season, but if his bat stays solid enough for a .260/.320/.400 line, I could see him being a Starter.
What are your thoughts on Freddy?

Dude gets no prospect love, but with that glove, I would think fairly mediocre offensive numbers would still make him valuable. And if the Phillies are able to get above average production in Center, 2nd and Catcher, they may be able to live with an average Offensive Glove guy at Short.
Besides Ruben will trade him for Justin Verlander by this time next year anyway.

You don't typically trade prospects for prospects. If the Royals are going to trade one of their top hitting prospects, then it should be in an effort to win in 1-3 years and Teheran probably won't do that.
If you are willing to trade Myers, you can get an affordable #1-2 starter, just like what the Royals did in giving up Zack Grienke.

His numbers are similar enough to last year that it could be random variation. HIs walks are down a little, strikeout rate the same, power the same…he just lost 20 points of batting average, which could just be an issue of luck.

I don’t know….I would give him a chance, but I’m not close enough to the situation in Atlanta to know what their plans are.

I can only keep 2; who should I drop?
John, I could really use your help on who to keep and who to drop from my nerdy fantasy roster. Among Jose Altuve, Danny Espinosa, and Ike Davis who’s the best bet to produce in the next 3 years? Thanks.
by josephornelas on Aug 25, 2025 12:19 PM EDT reply actions
If it helps
Choosing between Altuve and Espinosa depends on pool format because they’re so different but Ike might need microfracture surgery and plays a stacked position so he’s last imo.

gotta go with espinosa as one.
Like chewbalka said Ike plays a stacked position so he isn’t that valuable. But since Espinosa will be you’re second baseman you won’t need Altuve. I would go with Davis and Espinosa.

hmmm
Hmmm….I like Ike, but both Espinosa and Altuve have more positional value, although as Nnamdi points out, they play the same position.
Dump Ike, then trade one of the others? It also depens on format as chewbalka points out.

Much better K/BB this year, rebuilding his mechanics in rookie ball and Low-A. I don’t have a specific recent report on his velocity, but K/BB, K/IP, and GO/AO look promising. He’s back from the dead at least.

Can you give me a quick sketch of what your hearing about Matt Lipka and if the scouting reports are any more positive than the results have been so far?
by Ophidian on Aug 25, 2025 12:27 PM EDT reply actions
not John
but his lack of Slugging (.293) is a concern. he’s still young, but he’s not a small guy (6’1", 190). seems odd.
by apoxonbothyourhouses on Aug 26, 2025 12:40 AM EDT up reply actions
It's not in the size mate, It's how you use it.
Look at Altuve, Altuve is 5 foot something and has power. Doesn’t mean a 6’1 Lipka should even if he is 20 feet taller.

Altuve
has a .382 SLG and .077 IsoP since promotion to the majors. The translation of his minor league power numbers to the majors was one of the big questions about him, and so far he hasn’t shown power. The swing I’ve seen out of him isn’t conducive to it either.
by blackoutyears on Aug 27, 2025 1:06 AM EDT up reply actions
I thinkn you missed the point
Its not that he should hit for power because he’s not small, its that there isn’t necessarily a ton of projection left for his power because he’s already filled out pretty well. If he were 6’1" 160 lbs, than it wouldn’t be as big of a worry.

It is VERY much a concern, the lack of power, for me anyway.
At 19 it is too soon to give up on him, but I do think cooling the ardor is appropriate.

but really really raw
12 passed balls in 36 games…..4/47 BB/K.
He’s also 18 years old and has loads of physical talent. You know the drill from here…high risk, high reward, could be a star, an A-ball fizzle, or anything in between, and anyone who tells you they know which way it will go is making it up.
by John Sickels on Aug 26, 2025 7:38 PM EDT up reply actions
personal take
Whether pessimistic or optimistic, I’ll lean toward the source w/ scouting specifics. I tend to zone out w/ “usual drill” business. Of course a Parks won’t say he knows which way Alfaro will go, but finding out that Alfaro has potentially 80 power and 70/80 arm, and maybe a 55-60 bat, is a lot more useful than throwing “another high risk, high reward.”
This is just an AQA thread, but I do think it’s always a philosophically interesting question: how to separate BETWEEN the players within a subgroup (as opposed to just assigning a player to a subgroup). And especially before they get to the A+/AA level where the stats start giving us a story.
by gogotabata on Aug 26, 2025 10:52 PM EDT up reply actions
He's obviously raw
But I think it’s clear that he’s more refined than expected. He went from not being able to hit in the DSL to excelling in the NWL. That’s a big jump. The power is showing up in game as well. The approach needs work to be sure; luckily, there’s plenty of time for that.

Is this a case of young catcher stagnation syndrome? He’s still got patience and power but the .199 BA in AA is alarming.
by FI2 on Aug 25, 2025 12:33 PM EDT reply actions
norris
Kind of reminds me of Tyler Flowers last year…huge drop in BA but other skills seem intact.
I have been pro-Norris but you have to wonder now. “Young Catcher Stagnation Syndrome” is just the idea that catchers frequently don’t develop as well offensively as peers at other positions with similar hitting skills since the position wears them down. It is something I have observed and believed for a long time, but one of the things I want to do someday but never have time to do is quantify it, if possible, to see if it is a big effect, a small one, or just a figment of my imagination.

Thanks.

I haven’t heard anything about swing tinkering, and it is possible he’s just being more aggressive after the trade, trying to impress his new organization or to just let things rip in the friendlier California League. I wouldn’t make a big deal out of it just yet.

I also know that you hate fantasy questions, so again, I apologize in advance…
Say you are building a keeper team for the future. Who would you prefer?
Eric Hosmer or Mike Trout?
Trout is the higher ranked prospect, but Hosmer plays a premium position compared to OF and has been playing great in the big leagues this year as a 21 year old. Do you like the future production of one pretty considerably over the other or is this just about equal and it depends on which position I prefer to fill for the next 12 years?
