Any guys out there
Minor league wise, who have made big changes this year and going under the radar? We talk about someone adding pitches, tightening their stance, ect. Anyone generating some buzz?

oh yeah
Forgot they are starting soon. Can’t wait to see Kaleb Cowart in Orem. That whole team should be good with last years top picks, Cowart, Clarke, Lindsey and probably Bolden too.

couple suggestions
Success rate of college relievers becoming starters in pro ball.
In your draft research do you know who will be draft eligible sophomores in 2013?
I'm just a dude who likes talking to other dudes about other dudes.........in a straight way.

Relievers to Pro Starters
I love this idea. The Cards tend to do this quite often and not sure if they think these guys have a legit shot as starters or it gives the pitchers more innings to work on their stuff. Great topic though.

I think the reverse too
Lots of starters in our system turn into at least set up guys too. Boggs.McClellan. Gotta love it

Relievers to Starters
This is not uncommon though. Many back of the bullpen guys started their pro career as starters. Teams usually like to start the pitcher as a starter as their value is much higher as a starter. Let them dictate if they will make it or not.

Indeed
much rather have a number three starter than a good set up guy

This one is interesting. Andrew Cashner falls into this category, and I still hold out hope he’ll start.

Vincent Catricala
you had him as a sleeper and is off to a very nice 2011, Any chance to get you to offer a more intense look into what he’s doing

I would love an article on Ivan Calderon or Tim Raines
I miss the former Expos and the trade of these two players was pretty interesting at the time.

Bard
What’s so interesting about Bard? He was a 1st rounder who was expected to go high but dropped, throws 100 MPH and should be the closer in Boston, that pretty much sums it up.

Minor Leagues Profiles
I would really appreciate if you could very briefly profile most of the leagues in the minors as far as whether it benefits hitting or pitching and stuff like that, sometimes i’m unsure whether to take milb numbers seriously due to the league, like i know the cal league is a total hitters league but if u could profile all or most of them briefly, maybe just list them, i think that would be useful mostly because it is mid-season and we’re all trying to evaluate guys on our own here to check if they have had breakouts and stuff like that
one particular prospect i am taking his stats with a grain of salt is vincent catricala, but like i said sometimes im just not sure, like are brad peacocks numbers especially his hr rate compared to last year so much better because his league is a pitchers league?

I'm not exactly sure if the date (I guess no one knows for sure)
but as the Super 2 date approaches maybe a list/preview of guys who may get called up and see some playing time. I know at least for the Rays it will be at least Jennings and Guyer but not sure if it is effecting any other teams out there as well.

2nd halfers
Prospects who look to be heating up. Everyone loves those who had hot starts (trend or mirage) but what about those who have excellent 2nd halves?

Updated Top Prospect Lists
Obviously some guys have graduated, some guys have had very hot starts to boost their status, some guys have tanked and their stock is way down. I’m curious how you would rate the top prospects in baseball now compared to pre-season.
Also maybe organizational who’s hot/who’s not posts? I’m curious if any teams’ minor league systems are looking significantly better/worse than in pre-season and which prospects are affecting that view.

Hit-first Catchers
I think a good feature would be to do an update of 4 or 5 hit-first catchers. Are they improving their defense? What do scouts say at this point in the year? How likely are they to stick at catcher?
Some players to consider would be Montero, Myers, Norris, Valle, Flowers, Stassi, Ji-Man Choi, Lavarnway, Chirinos, Kvasnicka, Skipworth, Pacheco

rope in D'Arnaud pretty please
not exactly hit first, but I would say his hit tool was always questioned along with his ability to say healthy
so far this year 308/400/508 in 130 AB’s, 22 year old in 1st year of AA

I wonder how many of these guys end up being backup C / DH only / 1B (I’m thinking of you Norris)

Differences in Development Curves of Starters versus Relievers
You keep saying that a guy like Addison Reed should be a starter because of his 3-pitch mix. And as a reliever, Reed is dominating the competition. So why don’t they speed up his development?
Is there a reason that teams will keep a “potential” starter as a reliever in the low minors? Does it affect a development curve (mechanics, eta, make-up et al)

Couple of suggestions....
A Cliff Floyd prospect retro! And a prospect of the day of the Nats 12th rounder from last year, Robbie Ray. His pro career hasnt half started off well….

how about revisits of former top draft picks?
such as a Paul Wilson, for example.
