Sunday Morning Thoughts
I'll be heading back to Lawrence after the Sunday A&M/Oklahoma game. A few thoughts.
**Before the season starts, I'm going to revise the "baseball link" list over there on the left hand side of the page.
**Rendon vs. Cole: Right now I take Rendon. I love Cole, but for me I would normally go for the position player and that is true in this case too. Right now. I might change that by draft day.
**I have a lot of projects on the burner including the LSU pitcher report, draft stuff, plus some pieces suggested in last week's AQA thread. Suggest some Smackdown matchups and Career Profile candidates if you like. Keep in mind that a Career Profile doesn't have to be for a superstar, and that some of the most interesting and instructive profiles are for role players.

career profile idea
Kevin Kouzmanoff. was looking at his stats yesterday, thought he might be an interesting career profile candidate.

Not a rookie...
How about Chris Davis for “not a rookie”? He’s tearing it up this spring, but if Michael Young doesn’t know where his AB’s are coming from, where will Chris Davis’ AB’s come from? He’s young and has showed some potential, but has ugly career numbers overall. I can’t figure the guy out.

Kevin McReynolds or Wally Backman would be great. Thanks

Twinkie time
I really enjoyed the Kent Hrbek retrospective. How about a profile on Gary Gaetti who broke into MLB with Hrbek & had some productive years after the younger Hrbek called it quits? Not a role player per se, but probably somewhat overlooked due to the passage of time by many.
