Heading out for another scouting trip to end the season. Will hit Burlington, Clinton, and Quad Cities. Will be stopping at the in-laws first, so I won't have good internet access until Sunday night or Monday.

In the meantime, here are some things to keep you busy.

*Henry Alberto Rodriguez, RHP, Oakland, pitching for Kane County in the Midwest League. Pay attention to him. Great arm, and his command has started to come around this year.

*Jeremy Hellickson, from my high school (Hoover High in Des Moines) is 12-2, 2.62 in the Sally League with a 100/33 K/BB in 103 innings. Yet another Tampa Bay Devil Rays pitching prospect on the way up. What grade would you give him now? I think he's a minimum Grade B prospect. Should we go to B+?

*Marcus Davis, OF, State College in the New York-Penn League, Pirates system. I overdrafted him big-time in the Shadow Draft, picking him in the fifth round when he went in the 17th in real life. Interesting numbers for State College: .246/.346/.515, eight homers and 15 steals, showing power and speed, 18/37/134 BB/K/AB. Like the tools and the power/speed production, but he's 22 and in the NY-P. It will be interesting to see how he adjusts next year to better competition.
