You have just been named GM of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Ownership has given you carte blanche to make changes on the major league roster, gut the minor league system if you so desire, make trades, put money into international scouting, etc. Signing huge free agent contracts will have to wait, but in terms of player development you can do what you want.
