Lars Anderson, 1B, Jesuit HS, Fair Oaks, CA
Baseball America has Anderson at number 41 on their draft board, but I think that might be underrating him a tad. He is big at 6-5, 190 pounds, lanky but strong, lefty hitter and thrower. He moves very well for his size, smooth and rather graceful. He has plus power from the left side of the plate. Like fellow California high schooler Chris Parmelee, Anderson's lack of really good running speed will keep him out of the top half of the round, but I am impressed with his power potential. A definite target for my Shadow Draft Twins. Also, "Lars Anderson" is a name that really needs to be on the Minnesota Twins roster just for aesthetic purposes.
