Sean Gallagher, RHP, Chicago Cubs
8-2, 1.55 for Peoria, with 88/29 K/BB ratio in 93 innings, 57 hits allowed, just 2 homers. Got lots of press at the beginning of the season, attention has cooled lately although his numbers remain strong. What I want to point out specifically is his low home run rate: just 2 dingers all season. Combine that with his other ratios, and Gallagher looks like a helluva prospect to me. Picked in the 12th round last year from a Florida high school. Look for a possible Jake Peavy-type rise up the ladder.
