****As everyone around here likely knows, the Washington Nationals promoted super-duper outfield prospect Juan Soto to the major league roster yesterday. We will celebrate later today with a current Top 30 MLB prospects list.
****St. Louis Cardinals rookie Jack Flaherty fired 7.2 innings against the Philadelphia Phillies, giving up two hits and a run on one walk, while fanning 13.
****Los Angeles Angels rookie Shohei Ohtani continued Shoheiohtaniying his way through the American League, this time with nine strikeouts in 7.2 innings against the Tampa Bay Rays.
****Pittsburgh Pirates rookie Austin Meadows went 3-for-4 with his first major league home run and is 5-for-11 (.444) in his first three MLB contests.
****Cleveland Indians prospect Shane Bieber continued his domination of Triple-A with eight shutout innings for the Columbus Clippers, giving up just three hits and zero walks with eight strikeouts. He now has a 54/3 K/BB in 58 innings.
****Houston Astros prospect Kyle Tucker went 3-for-4 with a home run for Triple-A Fresno. He stands at .292/.361/.447.
