Good morning everyone and welcome to the Arizona Fall League morning roundup. Here’s a quick look at yesterday’s AFL events.

****Salt River beat visiting Glendale 4-3. Minnesota Twins prospect Travis Blankenhorn was the offensive leader for the Rafters with three hits and a run scored, while starting pitcher Ryan Castellani of the Colorado Rockies system struck out seven with one run allowed over five innings of work.

****Visiting Mesa outslugged Surprise 10-6. The Solar Sox got home runs from Los Angeles Angels prospects Jahmai Jones and Roberto Baldoquin, while Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Cole Tucker went 3-for-4 in the losing cause. Chicago Cubs prospect D.J. Wilson went 3-for-5 for the victors.

****Home team Scottsdale defeated Peoria 10-3 behind a 17-hit attack. Milwaukee Brewers prospect Keston Hiura went 2-for-4 with a home run in the losing cause, raising his average on the fall to .333 with five homers. The Scottsdale assault was led by Cincinnati Reds prospect Taylor Trammell (3-for-4, three runs scored) and New York Mets prospect Peter Alonso (4-for-5 including a three-run homer).
