Good morning everyone and welcome to the Arizona Fall League morning roundup for October 30th, 2018. Here’s what happened in the AFL yesterday.

****Visiting Scottsdale defeated home team Glendale 7-5. Third baseman Abraham Toro of the Houston Astros system led the victorious attack, going 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored while starting pitcher Garrett Williams of the San Francisco Giants system threw five shutout innings, fanning five. Chicago White Sox prospect Luis Robert hit a home run in the losing cause.

****Home team Peoria nipped visiting Surprise 7-6. Milwaukee Brewers prospect Keston Hiura went 3-for-5 for the Javelinas and is now hitting .364 for the fall, while Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Cole Tucker went 4-for-5 with two runs scored for the defeated Saguaros. Tucker is now hitting .391.

****Salt River stomped visiting Mesa 12-3. Washington Nationals prospect Carter Kieboom (3-for-5) and Minnesota Twins prospect Jaylin Davis (4-for-5, three runs scored) led the 15-hit attack while starting pitcher Jordan Yamamoto (Miami Marlins) gave up one run over five innings, striking out five, for the victory.
