For the purpose of this exercise I will eliminate those stats which don't matter; age, ARL, height, weight, position and handedness. I will list some necessary numbers and if I miss something feel free to ask.
* The player was a high draft pick (inside the top five rounds) as a high schooler.
* He progressed normally, one year at Lo A, one at Hi A, one at AA, and half a season at AAA before making the major leagues.
* He was known as a speed guy, he stole quite a few bases but his percentage wasn't all that good for a guy who ran that often (below 80%).
* The year in question was his AA season, his third as a pro. He hit above .300 and had an OBP above .400 but posted a shallow OPS of .771 and an ISO of .048.
* He had 141 hits in 133 games but only had 17 extra base hits and hit zero homers in over 500 PA's.
* His OBP was walk driven as he had more bases on balls than strikeouts.
*He was a decent bat handler as well, dropping 16 sacrifice bunts for the year.
*Defensively he was considered below average, like Jacoby Ellsbury his speed allowed him to cover mistakes and he didn't throw well. He spent most of his time at one specific position although he did spend some time at a position which is considered similar for a guy with his profile.
*His career was recent enough where most of us saw him, although at what stage is unknown, and his minor league career was long enough ago where the only way to evaluate him was either by using the correct stats or in person as video was not yet a viable option.
