Using a system of points thought up by Mekonsrock in the Tampa Bay prospect ranking, I've gone through and calculated the 'points' that each system has based on Sickels' rankings
A = 10 points
A- = 8 points
B+ = 6 points
B = 3 points
B- = 2 points
C+ = 1 point
Based on those point values, here is the current list of farm systems, assigned by points.
- St. Louis – 68
- Seattle - 65
- Tampa Bay – 62
- Texas – 61
- Houston – 61
- Pittsburgh – 61
- Minnesota – 60 (Meyer – B+, Sickels ranking; May – B, based on preliminary Top 50)
- New York NL – 59
- Chicago NL – 58
- Miami – 55
- Arizona – 48
- San Francisco – 42
- New York AL – 42
- Philadelphia – 40
- Kansas City – 38
- Los Angeles NL - 36
- Atlanta – 36
- Baltimore – 36
- Cleveland – 35
- Toronto – 35
- Oakland – 34
- Washington – 33
- Detroit – 26
- Chicago AL – 23
Be warned, I tried to figure in all the prospect trades that hadn't been updated in the Top 20 posts, but I may have missed some. If you want to go through and check, please feel free.
