Callis just out with a new mock that makes a mess of everything

Top 10 is Harper-Taillon-Machado-C.Sale-Choice-Pomeranz-Cox-J.Sale-Whitson-O’Conner. This is really out of synch with Piliere’s information over the last two days that everybody seems to have accepted as gospel. We’ll see how had the better info/hunch.

same with Frankie P

he still thinks grandal at 4 as well, but notes the agent is shaking things up. all on his twitter account. He also suggests the backup plan may be … Asher? At 4? If that happens … whoa.

I agree, I would liken the MLB Draft to Christmas

But the NFL Draft to Hanukkah. And the NHL draft to Arbor Day

Speaking of Grandal, Frank Piliere says that the Indians have topped Kc’s offer: http://mlb.fanhouse.com/2010/06/05/draft-buzz-top-15-clearing-up/?sms_ss=twitter

Tony Wolters

Multiple sources reporting that Tony Wolters could go in the late first-early supplemental round.

I REALLY like Wolters. Very nice bat and should be a very capable middle infielder. Would be an especially good choice for a team with multiple early picks.

Random Note Only Interesting To Me: In the Minor League Ball Mock Draft, I had picks 18, 29, 30, 37, and 40. With those picks, I took players that are ranked 15, 22, 23, 41, and 38 respectively in BA’s final rankings. Solid haul value-wise.

Diamondbacks

Frankie Piliere just said that the Diamondbacks are inclined to take Barret Loux over Drew Pomeranz, but not Chris Sale.

If the Indians do end up taking Chris Sale . . .madness!

Keith Law

Says the Royals are taking Sale.

My Guys: Gillies, Pacheco, Drabek, Verlander, Ozuna, A Salcedo, S Rodriguez, and others.

Goldstein and Mayo still have Grandal

KG did throw out a rumor of them going with a cheap college bat (who I think is Brentz) which would enable them to throw more money around in later rounds.

quite frankly, that might make sense. if your grading a whole bunch of guys around the same, it makes sense to take the cheap guy. this year sucks ass to pick #4.
