I'm taking a line from Andy Seiler's book here. I have been doing a great deal of work on ranking minor leaguers and finding new ways to rank them statistically. I then put my own spin on them to come up with a ranking. Here is a simple version of what I am planning to do for each team.
I am planning on doing this in full for next season if there is interest and I would do a streamlined version this season . I have been contemplating doing this for a while and I'm not an economist and not sure if it is worth the effort.
These are the things I want to have in my PDF for later this year, or next year.
Top 2000 Prospects
Ranking by position
Team rank (Chart showing difference)
Impact prospects for 2010 or 2011 next year
MLB player rankings
GM’s for each team and rankings (transaction history?)
Salary owed by teams/contracts for players
Sleepers for 2010 or 2011 next year
Top 100 draft prospects for 2009 and 2010. I may expand this as I have a list of 440 currently. Sneak peak at 2011 also.
International signings roundup
I'm also open to doing anything you guys are looking for to make this a valuable product.
