Toonces Sickels

We put our cat Toonces to sleep this afternoon. His condition had deteriorated greatly over the last week, and while he might have lived another few weeks, he would have been in pain from renal failure. There was no point in forcing him through that, so we made the decision to release him.
I've had a lot of pets in my life, but Toonces was our special friend. We got him three months after we got married, so he was like our first child.
We will miss him.
