Murfreesboro Considers Tax Dollars for Proposed Minor League Baseball Park
Murfreesboro is contemplating the allocation of taxpayer dollars for a potential minor league baseball park project estimated to cost between $30 million and $40 million. Jason Rose, an aspiring baseball team owner from Arizona, envisions a partnership where he and the city would share expenses equally. These shared costs would support the undertaking of essential studies, including an economic impact analysis, an environmental assessment, and the development of architectural and engineering plans for a 4,500-seat stadium. The proposed location for the stadium is a 4.5-acre site adjacent to Cannonsburgh Village. Rose believes that this baseball park would seamlessly integrate with the city's historic parks and recreation village in downtown Murfreesboro. NFR Live Stream 2023
