Prospect discussion: Who to watch in the Carolina League?

For those that follow the site, you know I try to cover an All Star Game every year. The first two years I based it on players I knew and rosters I liked. This year, I’m doing something different.

With the Atlanta Braves out of the Carolina League, it is without question the East Coast league I know the least about. So, I’m going to travel to the home of the Mudcats and do some learnin’! As I do every year, I’ll ask the community who I should watch and what profiles you’d like to see. In that past we’ve had requests for everyone from Jose Berrios to Thomas Pannone.

So talk to me. While the rosters aren’t out, what names would you expect to be there and who would you like to hear about? I need to start researching a bit in advance, so I jumping on it a bit earlier this year.
