Here are some things that happened yesterday:
****Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Mitch Keller threw 6.1 strong innings for Double-A Altoona, striking out six without walking anyone, giving up six hits.
****Milwaukee Brewers prospect Keston Hiura went 4-for-5 with two homers for High-A Carolina. He’s hitting .316/.377/.524 overall including .452 over his last 10 contests. He was promoted to Double-A late last night.
****Washington Nationals prospect Daniel Johnson went 3-for-5 with three runs scored for Double-A Harrisburg. He’s picked the pace up after a slow start and stands at .286/.354/.414.
****Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Caleb Ferguson threw five shutout innings for Triple-A Oklahoma City, giving up three hits and three walks with 10 strikeouts.
****San Diego Padres pitching prospects Logan Allen and Jason Jester combined to throw a no-hitter for the Double-A San Antonio Missions.
