Good morning everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Morning Report for Thursday, May 3rd, 2018. Onward, excelsior!

STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****Minnesota Twins rookie Fernando Romero had a successful major league debut, going 5.2 shutout innings against the Toronto Blue Jays with four hits and three walks allowed, fanning five.

****Blue Jays prospect Sean Reid-Foley fanned 10 over six innings for Double-A New Hampshire with five hits and two runs allowed. He didn’t walk anyone.

****Miami Marlins prospect Nick Neidert gave up two runs over seven innings for Double-A Jacksonville, walking two with six hits allowed and six strikeouts. He has a 3.71 ERA in 26.2 innings with a 19/6 K/BB.

****Washington Nationals super-prospect Juan Soto went 2-for-2 with three walks for High-A Potomac and is now hitting .344/.476/.656 in eight games since being promoted from Low-A.

****Three Los Angeles Angels pitching prospects (Jason Alexander, Zac Ryan, and Sean Isaac) combined to throw a no-hitter for the Inland Empire 66ers in California League play against Lake Elsinore.
