Good morning everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Morning Report for Friday, May 18th, 2018.

****The Minor League Ball Community Mock Draft will be held Saturday, June 2nd, at noon central time. There are still a few teams looking for scouting directors.

****Houston Astros prospect J.D. Davis hit for the cycle yesterday for Triple-A Fresno. He’s now hitting a ridiculous .425/.479/.669 in 127 at-bats for the Grizzlies. I think it fair to say that he has nothing left to learn in the Pacific Coast League.

****Seattle Mariners outfield prospect Braden Bishop went 5-for-5 with a home run and four runs scored yesterday for Double-A Arkansas. Although hitting just .234/.327/.343 overall he has been hot lately, hitting .385 over his last 10 games.

****Milwaukee Brewers outfield prospect Corey Ray remains hot, hitting another home run yesterday for Double-A Biloxi, giving him five bombs in his last five games. He’s now at .273/.348/.509 on the season.

****Miami Marlins pitching prospect Nick Neidert threw 6.2 scoreless innings for Double-A Jacksonville, fanning 11 while allowing just two hits and two walks.

****More highlights can be found in yesterday’s Gameday discussion thread.
