A few highlights:

****Atlanta Braves right-handed pitching prospect Mike Soroka threw five scoreless innings with five strikeouts in his first start of the year for Triple-A Gwinnett.

****Houston Astros prospect Kyle Tucker hit a 448-foot homer for Triple-A Fresno.

****St. Louis Cardinals prospect Tyler O’Neill hit two homers for Triple-A Memphis. Teammate Max Schrock went 4-for-6.

****Philadelphia Phillies pitching prospect Adonis Medina threw five shutout innings for High-A Clearwater in Florida State League action.

****Tampa Bay Rays pitching prospect Anthony Banda tossed five shutout innings for Triple-A Durham, giving up four hits and zero walks while whiffing eight.

****Pittsburgh Pirates pitching prospect Travis MacGregor fanned 12 men over 5.1 innings for Low-A West Virginia.

****Detroit Tigers pitching prospect and former University of Florida ace Alex Faedo threw five innings for High-A Lakeland, giving up two hits and two runs with four strikeouts.
