Hello everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Morning Report for Monday, April 30th, 2018.

SUNDAY HIGHLIGHTS

****New York Mets first base prospect Peter Alonso went 3-for-5 yesterday for the Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies with a home run and three runs scored. He’s homered in each of his last four games and is hitting .403/.500/.778 with seven homers, 14 walks, and 15 strikeouts in 72 at-bats overall.

****Los Angeles Angels outfield prospect Torii Hunter went 5-for-5 with three runs scored for the Burlington Bees in Low-A Midwest League action. He’s hitting .243/.333/.329 in 70 at-bats while stealing eight bases in eight attempts.

****San Diego Padres prospect Luis Urias went 3-for-3 with two walks for Triple-A El Paso and is now hitting .296/.405/.423 through 71 at-bats.

****Arizona Diamondbacks catching prospect Daulton Varsho went 3-for-4 with a home run and three runs scored for the Visalia Rawhide in the High-A California League. He’s hitting .294/.407/.500 overall while throwing out 45% of runners.

****Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander Nick Kingham was outstanding in his Major League debut, giving up just one hit over seven innings against the St. Louis Cardinals while striking out nine.
