Good morning everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Morning Report for Saturday, April 28th, 2018. Here’s your morning walk around the minors.
****Remember Austin Meadows? The Pittsburgh Pirates once-star prospect had a huge night, going 4-for-6 with a home run and three RBI for the Indianapolis Indians.
****In a battle of dueling aces, the Toronto Blue Jays prospect Sean Reid Foley got the best of the New York Yankees Dillon Tate, striking out eight over five scoreless frames in the Fisher Cats 4-0 victory.
****Shohei Ohtani hit a laser beam off of Yankees ace Luis Severino before leaving the game after rolling his ankle at first base. Obviously every eye in the Los Angeles Angels system is on that ankle.
"Are you ever surprised by anything he does anymore?"

****Cincinnati Reds prospect Nick Senzel went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI for Louisville.
****You can find additional highlights in yesterday’s Gameday discussion thread.
GOOD READS
****ICYMI: Grant McAuley had a great story on Ronald Acuña, Jr.’s ascent and what it means to his family. Well worth the read if you aren’t Acuña-ed out yet (I’m not).
**** Brady Singer and Casey Mize went head-to-head Thursday. Here were some thoughts from Baseball America. Here are some thoughts from me: Mize is filthy. Singer is good, but I think Mize and a couple others may have surpassed him as the top college arm in the draft. Something is weird to me about his delivery.
