Good morning everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Morning Report for Wednesday, April 18th, 2018.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM YESTERDAY

*****In major league action, Texas Rangers rookie infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 4-for-5 against the Tampa Bay Rays. We first mentioned IKF back on March 27th in the “Don’t overlook these prospects” article.

*****Toronto Blue Jays pitching prospect T.J. Zeuch threw six shutout innings for High-A Dunedin, giving up five hits and two walks while fanning eight.

*****Los Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect Caleb Ferguson fired five shutout innings for Double-A Tulsa against Midland, giving up two hits and one walk while striking out nine.\

*****Oakland Athletics pitching prospect Jesus Luzardo, a favorite here at Minor League Ball with both staff and readership, threw five hitless/scoreless innings for High-A Stockton against Modesto in California League play, giving up one walk while striking out nine.

*****Another Minor League Ball favorite, Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto, continued his destruction of the South Atlantic League by going 4-for-5 in a doubleheader for Hagerstown. He’s hitting .413/.537/.902 with 12 walks against just seven strikeouts in 41 at-bats.
