Hello everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Morning Report for Tuesday, April 17th, 2018. Let’s get started.

YESTERDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

****St. Louis Cardinals prospect Tyler O’Neill went 3-for-5 with two homers and four RBI for the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds against the Iowa Cubs. Through his first 11 games O’Neill is hitting .432/.426/.932 with six homers. Teammate Max Schrock went 3-for-5.

****Miami Marlins pitching prospect Edward Cabrera threw six hitless innings for Low-A Greensboro against Lakewood with two walks and three strikeouts.

****Los Angeles Dodgers catching prospect Keibert Ruiz went 2-for-5 with two homers and four RBI for Double-A Tulsa against Midland in Texas League action. He’s otherwise off to a slow start at .225/.262/.375 but at age 19 he is very young for Double-A.

****Houston Astros pitching prospects Abdiel Saldana and Jorge Alcala combined for a one-hitter yesterday for Buies Creek Astros against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in Carolina League play.
