The season is almost here. . .

Good day everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Wednesday, March 28th, 2018. Some items worthy of discussion as the season rapidly approaches:

****On the good news “prospects are fun” front, we have Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s super-duper awesome walk-off home run for the Toronto Blue Jays in their exhibition game against the St. Louis Cardinals in Montreal. This clip is everywhere today and with good reason. It may be a meaningless game that doesn’t count in the standings, but the excitement was certainly real.

From MoesTopPlays

****Seattle Mariners prospect Daniel Vogelbach remains hot, going 2-for-4 with a home run yesterday against the Colorado Rockies.

****The Atlanta Braves held their own Braves Future Stars game yesterday, highlighted by outfield prospect Cristian Pache hitting a pair of home runs.

****Miami Marlins rookie Brian Anderson went 2-for-2 with a double in exhibition play against the University of Miami Hurricanes.

****On the negative side, Oakland Athletics pitching prospect A.J. Puk has blown an elbow ligament and will undergo Tommy John surgery.

IN THE WORK QUEUE

****Sleepers and breakthrough candidates for each organization.
