****This actually happened Sunday but the Miami Marlins announced that prospect Lewis Brinson had made the Opening Day roster with indications that he will be the leadoff hitter with the regular job in center field. Brinson hit .313/.346/.583 on the spring.

****Houston Astros prospect Kyle Tucker hit a grand slam against the Milwaukee Brewers. That’s his fifth homer of the spring, raising his overall slash line to .439/.467/.878 in 41 at-bats.

****Philadelphia Phillies rookie Scott Kingery celebrated his new contract by hitting a home run and going 3-for-4 against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
