Let’s talk about the progress of the Phillies rebuilding project

I am now working on the Detroit Tigers Top 20 prospects list for 2018. The next team in line is the Philadelphia Phillies, to be followed by the Toronto Blue Jays and finally the St. Louis Cardinals to finish the process.

Use this thread to discuss the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Some possible points for discussion include, but are certainly not limited to:

****The Phillies finished 66-96 in 2017, fifth place in the National League Western Division. What do you anticipate for 2018? Can they get back towards .500?

****In general, how happy are you with the progress of the rebuilding project?

****Nick Williams hit .288/.338/.473 in 313 major league at-bats last year and is no longer a rookie. At age 24, what should be anticipated from him, both in the short run (2018) and in the longer term?

****Jorge Alfaro is reportedly at the top of the Phillies catching chart with spring training now underway. What do you expect from him in a full season?

****Shortstop J.P. Crawford hit .214/.356/.300 in 70 major league at-bats last year. Like Alfaro, he is the leading candidate for a starting role in ‘18. What do you anticipate from him?

****As always, feel free to discuss sleeper prospects or anything else Phillies-oriented.
