Milwaukee Brewers organization discussion

Let’s hash out the future in Milwaukee

MLB: Washington Nationals at Milwaukee Brewers

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

I am now working on the Texas Rangers Top 20 prospects list for 2018. The next team in line is the Milwaukee Brewers, to be followed by the Tampa Bay Rays, San Francisco Giants, Detroit Tigers, the Philadelphia Phillies, the Toronto Blue Jays, and finally the St. Louis Cardinals to finish the process.

Use this thread to discuss the Brewers organization. Possible points for discussion include, but are certainly not limited to:

****The Brewers finished 86-76 in 2017, good for second place in the National League Central Division. What is your expectation for 2018? Can they get to 90 wins? Contend for the division? Or will they fall back into the pack?

****Orlando Arcia’s sophomore year when very well: .277/.325/.407 with 15 homers while playing quality shortstop defense at age 22. Has he already reached his peak? How good can he become? What will his age 27 season look like?

****Zach Davies’ 2017 season was very similar to his 2016 campaign. Is this his best or can he take another step forward?

****Rookie Josh Hader posted a 2.08 ERA in 48 bullpen innings with a 68/22 K/BB. He is past rookie limits now so will no longer appear on prospect lists, but what do you anticipate for his future? Do you see any hope that he can start, or will he settle in permanently as a reliever?

****Your take on the condition of the farm system?

****As always, feel free to discuss sleepers or anything else Brewers-oriented.
