New York Mets preliminary prospect grade breakdown

I am working on the New York Mets Top 20 prospects list for 2018. As is commonly known, the Mets system right now has a distinct lack of top-tier prospects, but they do have a broad mass of C+ and C guys. Grading the individual players is not too hard, but ranking them in relation to each other takes longer.

I hope to have the rankings done tomorrow. Right now it is taking me about three days to do a team. I’d like to get that down to two, but we’ll see.

Here is the grade breakdown as it currently stands:

Grade A: Zero
Grade A-: Zero
Grade B+: Zero
Grade B: One (could be a B+)
Grade B-: Seven (one or two could be a straight B)
Grade C+: 29
Grade C: A bunch

There are a large number of C+ who might end up as plain Cs when all my analysis is complete.
