Happy Thanksgiving, Minor League Ball. Another Minor League Baseball season is in the books, my fourth here at Minor League Ball. As I’m sure you all are, I am thankful for quite a bit over my four years with John Sickels.
I’m thankful for Jim Jones of the Rome Braves for making me a permanent member of their media. It’s opened the doors for me to meet a lot of good people, like Kevin Karel, Blake Silvers, Eric Cole, Grant McAuley, Chris Blessing, Andy Harris, Ben Poplin, the rest of an amazing media staff, and yes, even Josh Brown.
It’s pretty cool that they let me start covering Rome in 2015, and now we get to see all that hype come into play in the form of a National League East title. I’m also thankful my friend Benny called a few hours before THE game with an extra ticket so I could see this:
Good morning #Braves Country. ICYMI... Acuña hits grand slams. Braves still play baseball today. See you at 4:30 #SunTrust ⚾️ #ChopOn #ForEachOther @Braves @MLB pic.twitter.com/3uOG0A6loB

And of course, thanks to John, for continuing to give me a voice. I’m grateful for everyone in this community who reads and comments and let’s me continue to enjoy what I do.
Have a great Turkey Day. We’ll see you for hot stove season tomorrow.
