Good morning everyone and welcome to the Arizona Fall League morning roundup for October 24th, 2018. Here’s what happened in the AFL yesterday:

***Salt River defeated visiting Surprise 7-5. Toronto Blue Jays prospect Cavan Biggio and Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Cole Tucker were the offensive stars, with Biggio driving in two and Tucker scoring three runs and hitting a triple. Colorado Rockies prospect Tyler Nevin went 3-for-4 with two triples and four RBI while Minnesota Twins prospect Travis Blankenhorn scored four runs.

***Peoria had no problems with Glendale, winning 8-1, thanks to home runs from Seattle Mariners prospect Evan White, San Diego Padres Hudson Potts, and Atlanta Braves prospect Braxton Davidson. Chris Mariscal (Mariners) and Buddy Reed (Padres) each contributed three hits to the attack while starting pitcher Miguel Diaz of the Padres system fanned three over four innings, allowing one run.

***Scottsdale came away with a 2-1 win in 10 innings over Mesa. Cincinnati Reds prospect Shed Long had three hits and Philadelphia Phillies prospect Arquimedes Gamboa drove in two with a double but the game was otherwise dominated by pitching, with five Scorpions pitchers holding the Solar Sox to just one hit. Starter Garrett Williams of the San Francisco Giants system fired for hitless innings with seven strikeouts.
