Good morning everyone and welcome to the Arizona Fall League morning roundup for Monday, October 22nd, 2018. Here’s what happened in the AFL since our last update.

****On Saturday, Peoria beat Salt River 6-5. Tampa Bay Rays prospect Lucius Fox scored two runs for the victors while teammate Keston Hiura of the Milwaukee Brewers system went 2-for-4 with a double. Rays prospect Matt Krook threw three innings, giving up one hit and one run with three strikeouts.

****Scottsdale nipped Surprise 9-7 in a game that went 11 innings. Philadelphia Phillies prospect Darick Hall and New York Mets farmhand Peter Alonso each homered for the Scorpions, while teammate Taylor Trammell of the Cincinnati Reds system went 4-for-6. St. Louis Cardinals prospect Andy Young homered in the losing cause while teammate Demarcus Evans of the Texas Rangers system fanned four in 1.2 innings of relief work.

****Mesa outmashed Surprise 11-8. Chicago Cubs prospect Nico Hoerner went 2-for-3 with a home run while teammate Daz Cameron of the Detroit Tigers system went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored. Cleveland Indians prospect Yu Chang went 3-for-4 with a double for the losers, while teammate Ryan McKenna of the Baltimore Orioles system went 2-for-5 with a pair of triples.
