COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****Boston Red Sox rookie Rafael Devers hit this third major league home run last night. Since being promoted to Boston he’s hitting .406/.486/.750...

****Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Cody Thomas went 3-for-5 with three homers and seven RBI for the Great Lakes Loons in the Midwest League yesterday. He’s shown power all year with 18 homers, but has not received much attention as a prospect due to an overall mediocre .235/.293/.434 line and a 27/119 BB/K ratio. He was drafted in the 13th round in 2016 from the University of Oklahoma.

****Cleveland Indians outfield prospect Will Benson went 4-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, and four RBI for Mahoning Valley in the New York-Penn League.

****Oakland Athletics prospect A.J. Puk fanned 13 over 6.2 innings of work for Double-A Midland, allowing three hits, a walk, and three runs against San Antonio.
