Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017. Let’s get to it.

****Today’s Minor League Scoreboard

****Today’s MLB scoreboard

****Yesterday’s Highlights can be found in the Wednesday discussion thread.

****Analysis of all the deadline trades involving prospects can be found here.

COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****Philadelphia Phillies prospect Rhys Hoskins went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. It seems like I’ve written similar sentences several times this year. A .281/.381/.570 line with 26 homers will do that.

****A 3-for-4 day from Washington Nationals outfield prospect Victor Robles. He’s on a run lately, 7-for-13 in his last three games and hitting .308 over his last 10. He’s at .314/.400/.486 since being promoted to Double-A Harrisburg.

****Kansas City Royals first base prospect Samir Duenez went 4-for-4 with a homer, two RBI, and two runs scored for Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

****Atlanta Braves pitching prospect Luiz Gohara threw six strong innings for Triple-A Gwinnett yesterday, giving up one run on five hits and a walk, fanning eight.

****This “Cody Bellinger” person playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers seems like he might be pretty good. He hit a homer in his second consecutive game yesterday and now has 30 homers in 320 major league at-bats.
